I will try again with the quote thing, but thanks for your top tip. I thought that was what I was actually doing, but the quote then didn't come out highlighted !! I will persevere !
Hi PG, just select the text you want to quote and copy it to your clipboard, place the cursor in the reply box and click the QUOTE button (the one that looks a bit like a speech bubble above) then paste your previously copied text between the [.QUOTE] paste your text here [/QUOTE] boxes. Easy peasy! Hope this makes sense.:DDiary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hi all
My DD2 is in year 4 so a couple of years to think about it..and the intervention for dyslexia only kicked off in earnest in term 2 so everything to play for..
Dance shoes..ho hum..last time I walked out of the dancewear shop I was £70 odd lighter:eek:..its amazing how much the kids after school stuff can cost. The Advanced Academy sounds an amazing opportunity but its also a huge drain on the family - time and money... so hope you can all reach a decision you can live with
Had a NSD today..whoop whoop!! Not enough of them I reckon!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I sympathise with having to buy dance shoes. It seems to be all spend at the moment with no let up for myself.
DD advised tonight the heel has come off her boots. She has had them about 6 weeks.
Maybe a job for the glue 'No More Nails' or UHU. Although it is not called UHU anymre. It's strange I can remember the ld name but not the new one. :rotfl:
Thanks for your posts it's great to read them whilst having breakfast every day.
Glad to now about Mr Pinot and the quiet nights. I hope he is taking it slightly easier since his trip west (I think, from memory, it was Liverpool). Sorry if you have mentioned this today but haven't read these posts yet. Take care.June 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15

Anyway, congratulations on DD being scouted. Whatever decision you come to, that's a real achievement for her and you.

I can only remember UHU, in a yellow tube with black writing I think !! I have no idea what its called now, infact I thought it was still UHU !! Shows how much glueing I do these days, although I am rather a dab hand with the fabric glue as I can't sew to save my life !! I have knocked up some lovely dance costumes in my time, all stuck together with glue !!:D
Sorry to hear about Mrs bonnigtons boots, maybe you should take them back to the shop ? And yes, it does seem to be spend spend spend at the moment, when will it every end !!!!:eek:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

:eek: Wow, did you get a fine or something, or was that the actual cost???
Anyway, congratulations on DD being scouted. Whatever decision you come to, that's a real achievement for her and you.
Thankyou Happy, and yes we are vey very proud of her. I will have a chat with them today and find out more and take it from there.
No the £28 wasn't a fine, it was the actual parking cost !! Had I remembered to book in advance it would have been £20 !! The worst thing was, had I not been thinking about a thousand other things while I parked ( as you do !!) I would have parked in a different car park ( not the one allocated for the show) and I could have pretended to be going to the cinema instead rather than the show. Had I done that I could have purchased a cinema ticket and parked for free. Must remember that next time ,as we are there again over Easter Weekend !
Hope you are ok, I feel like I have no idea what is going on with everyone this week as I haven't had time to catch up. Its very strange, but I actually really miss reading all of your diaries. Maybe I will lock myself away in a room tonight for a few hours to catch up with you all !!:pLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Yes Dance shoes, riding stuff, just been asked this morning to pay for a Vocal Exam for DD1......the list goes on !! Cant complain though, we want them to be happy don't we, and it keeps them out of mischief
The Academy does sound an amazing opportunity, but I am not sure it is viable. As Mr Pinot isn't around in the evenings much or weekend, I would have to drag DD2 with me all the time, which could impact on her homework, activities etc, although she dances too and as she suggested last night, maybe I could audition as well?? !! Imagine the cost then ?!!!!
I really hope that the school are giving your DD2 all the help she needs with dyslexia, I'm sure I have read you talking about it over on DFW's diary.
Well aiming for a NSD today, watch this space though. FIL birthday today, but we have agreed on just a card for him this year.
Lovely sunny day here today, enjoy everyone xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
