Mrs P, I have to tell you this as I remembered your poor darlings breakfast the other day. I put toast in the toaster for a snack tonight, and when I went to take a bite it didn't quite taste right :( The breads seen better days and I'm pretty sure I ate a green bit eugh! I knew there was a reason for freezing bread and using it as I need oops!

  • Just got a few minutes to myself and am catching up on diaries. Your head sounds like it's been in the same place as mine. :(I was extremely grumpy a couple of days ago and was snapping at Mr F and the boys. I think my 'bad' mood was in part due a financial unknown (more over on my diary), part hormonal and part tiredness. Like you, I'm pleased to say I feel much better. The sun is finally shining in Hamilton and Mr F and I have managed to have a nice lunch out in town... not in the budget but so worth it!! :D

Oh dear - I've just caught up on everything as well *hugs* Firstly you don;t sound at all like a brat, you sound like someone who is having to cope with a hell of a lot and doesn't get a lot of time to herself x
I know what you mean about feeling the need to please people - I never actually feel as though I'm *me*, haven't for years and yet I don't actually know how to get 'me' back.

This is so true for some many people BR,I think sometimes it is in our make-up to always want to do things for others without thinking about the impact on ourselves. I often notice that its the people we do the most for who say to us "now don't forget to look after yourself" ???

I felt like this for years, then suddenly a lightbulb went off and I decided I needed to start doing things for me, taking time out to sit somewhere quiet and just be, not do anything, but just be. When I'm doing that I can detangle all the thoughts in my head and it gives me time to work out whether I'm doing things right or not. Although from doing that I realised I don't need to do all these things for people all the time. For instance, I don't have to go down to visit my parents every weekend just because they ask me, but in fact I can go once a month and live my life the rest of the weekends. Or I don't need to be designated driver every weekend when people don't pay me petrol money as thanks.
I think in our busy lives we spend so much time rushing around trying to do this, or trying to do that, that we lose who we are. How can we work on our self-development if we don't take time to take stock and reflect? :)

Can someone tell me what happened to Mr Sunshine please? He was here yesterday. Hope you all have lovely days xx

Mr Sunshine was out on the Eastern side of Scotland today. :)
Sorry, I took him when no-one was looking. :rotfl:
It's been lovely and warm here today. Probably about 13 degrees celcius.

I agree that we always seem to be rushing here and there, or doing this and that. I know I have so many jobs to do and I feel I need to get on with them. I try not to think about the jobs on a working day as it tends to lead to a kind of pressure headache. :(

I agree we need to have some quality time to relax. Although this is easier said, than done.
    ;)

Hi Pinot, just popping by to say congratulations on feeling more like your old self. We're all allowed the odd blip, and I think having a diary to offload it into is probably very therapeutic. It probably spares Mr Pinot's eardrums a bit too if you're anything like me :D!

You're doing really well with all the problems life has chucked at you, keep smiling :)

  • Hi Pinot, just popping in to say hope you have a good day. Have to disappear in a few minutes for my weekly Skype with dad. :D We had to cut it short last week as I was so tired and full of cold that I could barely keep my eyes open.

Breaking News ***Its Official ***** My very massive , public blip at the weekend was most definately ( well.....mostly :o )Hormonally Related !! Mr Pinot will tell you that he knew that all along no doubt, but didnt dare tell me for fear of me chewing his head off even more than usual. I think I need to look for signs myself, or you will all suffer these nutty outbursts every month for the next god only knows how many years !!! Many apologies for any male readers ( bonnington !) as not only will you need to deal with your own wives hormonal outburst, you also have the pleasure of suffering mine as well !!!! :rotfl:

Needless to say, I feel fab ( well ish) today and ready to take on the world and his wife again !! I have a beautifully tidy house, had lots of very very very long chats with DD1 about assisting a tad more, and I think we are back to our normal settled self. Isnt it crazy how much we all seem to have in common ? For all of you that were also feeling rubbish over the weekend Mrs Fluffy and New Road spring to mind, I really hope you feel much better now and I will try and grab a second to pop over to your diaries later. Sorry if I neglected you over the weekend, slapped wrists for me I think. :( Thankyou to all of you for your much appreciated words of wisdom. You are all very lovely !!! Oh and BR, I lost myself years ago, and would dearly love to find me again. The real me defiantely hiding somewhere and very occasionally I see signs that I am returning, then I run and hides again !! :rotfl:

So .........today is another day, Mr Pinots birthday tomorrow. I'm not too organised and only ordered him a pressie yesterday, only to be told it now wont arrive until next week. I have just printed out a beautfiul photo that I know he loves from many years ago of him with DD2, so I will grab a cheap , but classy (!) frame and she wants to give him that for his birthday, DD1 is off school again poorly today. She cant shift this fluey cold. Best she eats more fruit and less choccie I think !

Virgin (MBNA) card responded yesterday after my LBA and request that they reconsider the charges. They have confirmed that depsite telling me that this was their final word on the subject that they will indeed reconsider and will reply with yet another final answer in 28 days. So , I wait with baited breath .:D

We have had a couple more invoices paid in the last couple of days , so I have repaid the money I borrowed from the F&F fund to pay a creditor earlier in the month. It leaves us a bit lean again but I can always borrow it back if we need to, it makes me feel more in control if I do it this as otherwise I am worried it will get frittered away and disappear before my very eyes.

Right, I am off now, lots of work to do today. Bonnington, please may I ask that you return the sunshine immediately ? I think you are getting really greedy hogging it all to yourself !!! :rotfl:
