Aww Mrs PG..what a tricky day. Hard when it all crashes in on you I know.

But you have to focus on the main things:

    - OH and you are in this together and are working as a team - Yes ,we are, but I feel like its going to be our whole lifetime before we are out of this mess :(
    - you knew when to switch off the routine ( dance lessons) and move to emergency mode -We did but a bit too late I think, the stress levels had risen !. Because I am so obsessed with the money and the dance classes were paid for, I couldnt allow myself to let them miss them, but it takes up 4 hours out of the evening , so they were contributing to my stress. I also take a friend of DD2's and had to make arrangements for someone to look after her if we didnt dance and I couldnt get hold of any of her family to make sure someone was home for her if we didnt go .
    - you didn't spend stuff in a shop that made you feel scruffy!!! shopping is meant to make you feel good not bad so well done on that decision..it sounds like it all came right in the end anyways - Shopping doesnt make me feel good anymore, I just get the hell out of there as quick as I can . Mr Pinot says I didnt look scruffy, that I looked lovely yesterday but for some reason I felt it .
    - you are right to try nd focus on getting out of debt quicker but all those things for the DDs can wait you know..it's important to live now as well. I have also come to the decision that my two will get some money towards future key life events..like houses, weddings etc but it won't be open ended...and why should it? That is not teaching them abut money or it's value...or the horrors of debt. So the current plan is to give them a sum of money each and when it's gone it's gone. I really don't see why you think you should be the bank of mum and dad hun..is that just some background baggage coming through ( sorry to pry) Oh Mrs B , you have hit the nail on the head with this one. How clever you are !!! In my sane moments I also have said that they will get a sum of money towards these events, and have told them as much, but when I am stressing out, it all changes and I feel like we should be paying for everything. We are surrounded by friends & family who say that we should be paying for everything and we are expected to, especially as we are ( in their eyes) so very wealthy . I now its nothing to do with anyone else and we can only do what we can do. I think I am just stressing out in general for some weird reason ! And you arent prying, but I cant go into loads of detail unfortunately on this one !

Anyway we are all here for you. Happy to support you always! And always available for a glass of wine too! Thankyou so much, I am being so grumpy at the moment, you will all run away and stop reading my ramblings, I need to jolly myself along !! Maybe you can join me later for a vino or two !!!

And Yes the flowers were Snap Dragons, not sure where that weird name I came up with came from then !!

Kerri - You are so right Kerri, I have already found with both of the girls friends those that are handed everything on a plate are already becoming very spoilt and stuck up with no value for money. Fortunately both our girls do understand and rarely ask for things. I have already told both of them they will need to work their way through Uni shoudl they go, but I think again its a family thing. I knwo in my heart of hearts whats right and wrong, but when its being drummed into you otherwise or you are surrounded by it, its hard to let go !

As for marriage, your right, and totally silly of me to be worrying about it now at the ages they are !!:o

Ok, Mr Pinot has just called and given me a right old telling off, in a good way though not a horrible one. I am now off to take stock, mull over all your pearls of wisdom, drink copious amounts of coffee and get a grip. Sorry xxxxx:o

    Morning All,

What is it with me and birthdays and any celebration at the moment ? I think I went and totally ruined it for Mr Pinot by being a stresshead again on his birthday.:o

As others have already said one word HORMONES...cant do with them, cant do without;)

I didnt buy anything ,I just walked out, got in the car and drove home, rung Mr Pinot on the way and cried down the phone all the way home. What on earth is wrong with me ? This is all so stupid.

    Same answer as above .....HORMONES

Anyway without going on much more, I think it was salvaged when we made the decision to cancel the girls dance classes last night, dress up and jump in the car and head out for dinner. Not very MSE I know and certainly not in the budget, but I think it was needed. He works so so hard and never complains and I wanted to spoil him so much, I didnt want him fixing dishwashers on a rare day at home. We had a lovely meal, came home , he opened all the presents and cards that had been delivered. The Girls and I wrote a big joint card for him and he opened his bits from the girls as my present I had ordered still hadnt arrived. We then settled down and watch Glee with a glass of Pinot and finally all was calm .:o

And you all had a great time as a family which is what it is really all about:D

I have apologised for ruining his birthday, he has gone away for a few days this morning and I feel terrible. I have realised that birthdays and me dont mix anymore. I think its the realisation that as the girls have yet another birthday, we are in a mess and they will maybe want to go to Uni, have a car, get married, and we should be saving for those events, not trying to claw our way out of this hole. With Mr Pinot, it was again that he is not getting any younger and cant work like this forever.I have been awake most of the night again with figures spinning around in my head. I need to find a quicker way out of this and fast, but I dont know how .:(

I am sure he doesn't believe you "ruined" his birthday, he probably worries about you getting all stressed out as well.

From everything you have said you are working as a team to clear your debts and this is the important thing.
You and Mr P are bringing up the girls as grounded young ladies and I'm sure that they realise that we all have to work for the things we want/desire in life.

As others have said you need to chill this evening and give yourself some "ME time" maybe with that special glass or two of vino (unlike yours truely the other night;).

    Take care

Just wanted to say that I am not surprised you get het up every now and again, you are coping with so much. I love it that you want to do so much for Mr Pinot and your girls.

And I should add that Mr Pinot sounds absolutely lovely - wish I had an OH like yours. :)

Good Evening, its lovely to see you !

Thankyou for posting, but do you know what we all have so much to cope with whether its work, debt, illness......the list goes on. I think thats why I get so angry with myself, my problems are nothing really in comparison with so many. In reality as long as Mr Pinot , the girls and I are all together none of this really matters. When I am being my usual rational self everythingis so clear, but I suppose we are all allowed blips every now and then. Mine just seem to have been rather spectacular recently !! Watch this pace though , I have a few more birthdays to get through yet this month, you never know what sort of tantrum I may have !!:rotfl:

Mr Pinot is lovely, I adore him and we work really well together. We have been through alot of rubbish over the last few years with much more to come I'm sure, but I am as certain as I can be that we will get through it and come out of the other side together, just much more haggard and wrinklier ! :D

    Morning Mrs P

Hope you are well this morning and enjoyed the virtual or real vino last night.;)

Have already been out, done the shopping, put wm on and now just having a bite to eat and quick look on MSE before I do some chores.

Going to the cinema this afternoon with a good friend to see the best Exoctic Marigold hotel. Really looking forward to it as I like Judi Dench Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy et al.:j

Will catch up with you later but hope you have a good day
