Forgot to mention in our line of work unfortunately some months we are hit with hotel bills as high as £1500 or more , they are usually reimbursed but it can take 2 / 3 months so in the meantime there is less money for use elsewhere or to pay us !!

hi - have just caught up after a couple of days away - its all really interesting - thanks for explaining percentages formula - I was also wondering how to do it so that answers that one :j
I love the pots pots pots although they have driven me slightly "potty" - I also would like to build up a debt payment pot so that you can offer them money - the week before christmas one debt offered to reduce it from 3,888 to £304 I just wish we had had the money and paid it bit mean offering it the week before christmas mind but if you havent got it any other month you are unlikely to have it then ......................
Hope your DD is better - I think all the children are ready for half term.
Well done on the letter writing - very positiveDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

Just caught up with the rest of the posts. For some reason I've had a problem loading MSE for the last 24 hours.
Loving all the posts about how to work out percentage of debt repaid, like the rest of you I'm not mathematically minded, Mr Fluffy is the maths wizz. I do however love spreadsheets and have several of them set up for different things. In fact I use them whenever I need any kind of list (not just for math related things).Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Yes I had trouble with MSE as well Fluffy, I think they were doing some maintenance or something. It did mean though that I got on with getting a few other jobs done though !
Yes BOF made me think the same, but then I thought I must be showing my age, as I don't think anyone really uses the word boffin anymore, not like they did when I was a school at least !!:)LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

No matter how much you think you might owe, and how much you speculate with crossed fingers (and toes) you never really know until you get the figures. I love our accountant though, he's fab. A little old man who surrounds himself with young, gorgeous associates. Mr S calls him Charlie, as in Charlie's angels, but he really knows his stuff. Waiting for the results of DH's self assessment too :eek:Number of debts between us - 3 (2 @ 0%)0

Its taken us 13 years to find an amazing accountant who actually seems to understand the business. I think I would follow her across the other side of the world if I had to !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Well, what to report today ? Nothing much really. All been a bit quiet on the western front !
Yesterday was spent in a mad house cleaning frenzy. Half Term is looking crazily busy with work and personal things, I went into panic mode that the house had to be spotless or I couldn't possibly find time to do everything elseAll hands to the deck and most of it is done, the girls were great and hoovered, tidied polished and had a go at the bathrooms as well for me. DD1 wanted to nip to the shops in the afternoon so we ventured out later on . She lusted after everything in Top SHop and DD2 seems to now be getting into her clothes as well . Their birthdays are coming up soon and lots of people have been asking me for ideas, so I now have plenty of suggestions if asked !
Our ebay item finished last night and didn't sell, I was so disappointed. 24 watchers and not one single bid. I think it could have been that it finished on a saturday night and people may have been out, it wasn't the original choice of finish date but Mr Pinot messed up the dates when he listed the item. We will stick it on again for another 5 days and see what happens as I want shot of it now !
Mr Pinot worked on the cars before work yesterday and fitted new lights and other things that needed doing. Oh and for Valentines Day, I have a new number plate for my car !!!:j Never before have I been so excited. The number plate has been cracked for 2 years and made the car look even tattier than it is. I put one on my Xmas list, but santa didn't oblige, so I requested one for Valentines and it came early ! Mr Pinot ordered it from ebay for £5.50. The girls looked at me as if I had grown two heads while I jumped around in excitement. Mr Pinot has taken my car to work today and if he is quiet is aiming to fit it for me and also hopefully clean the car as well
Today DD1 is off to another friends to sleep and DD2 has a friend to play. She is currently getting busy with a Valentines day card, cutting letters from the newspaper to stick inside to make it anonymous !!:rotfl:
I will tackle the ironing which is yet again threatening to engulf the whole houseand maybe do some baking again with DD2 and her friend, its so much cheaper and more fun than buying the goodies which used to often get wasted. Tonights dinner will be something with tinned beans in, borlotti, cannelloni etc. I have seen a few recipes, but I haven't been shopping since the Aldi shop and the freezer is looking a little bare so I am making concotions out of the cupboards again. I remember someone making a bean pie for me when I was little and I loved it, so I might have a look into that, I have some ready rolled puff pastry int he freezer so it may be an option .
We had a little bit more money paid to us on Friday which covers the payment to the last of our creditors for this month at least, so I may update my signature again later.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekendLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
