Eager_Elephant wrote: »Please do not worry PG - it is a standard letter which does not take into account any contact you have made.
What they want is for you to get so irked about it that you contact them and agree to pay.
Keep calm and do not waste a stamp!!!
Its irritated and bugged me I think more than worried me EE but thankyou ! What bugs me more is I know someone who is claiming every benefit under the sun, as is his wife, yet they are both working cash in hand full time. They are regularly swanning off on holiday, NYC and Miami recently, Egypt is next on the cards. They are paying no tax and we are working like idiots in an effort to get this paid off, along with the rest of the Pinot National Debt of course ! The couple I mentioned above state they cant even afford a minimum of £1 a month towards their debts. On days like this I get mad !!
Thankyou EE once again you have put my mind at ease. I was going to waste that stamp and make contact , but to delay them really , just by telling them that I wasn't entering into any discussions as I have heard nothing from THEM advising me the account has been passed on. Do you think its worth even doing that ? I have had issues with THEM knocking on my door before as has been mentioned previously and its only recently that I have felt comfortable enough to leave the girls for an hour or so on their own and I still dont let them answer the house phone or the door. I dont want to rile THEM so they come a knocking again. It nearly sent me over the edge last time.:o
I will be paying them about another £200 nearly next week hopefully so I will be nearing the £4K mark .
Sorry I think I have rambled a bit there, its all been swimming around in my head all night long.xx

Food shopping done , washing and cleaning and also a couple of hours work sorted for today.
DD1 shipped off to an 80's themed party, Choose Life T Shirt, neon pink tube skirt, big hoop earrings, twilight teaser lipstick, lace thingy in her backcombed hair , neon beads and bangles, some pink netted fingerless gloves and an old 80s denim jacket that once belonged to me dragged out from the deepest darkest depths of the loft.:D
DD2 camping in the garden tonight with her friends, fed them pizza as I cant be trusted with a BBQ , even a gas one, managed to set light to the fence last time so I have been banned. They have lit their fire and already toasted a few marshmallows, the music is playing and they seem to be having fun.
Mr PG just called to say he is managing to get away from work at 8pm this evening instead of 11, so he should be home with any luck by 9.30. Another parent is doing party lifts tonight for once, so I am planning on settling down with a glass of PG and maybe a movie.
A Chilli for Mr PG and I is currently bubbling away on the hob, and I am hoping for a nice chilled out evening for once . Fingers crossed ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Which debt collection agency has the HMRC debt gone to?
I think you need to report those people for benefit fraud - I cannot stand people committing fraud. At work if we know someone is committing benefit fraud we have to encourage them to own up but can't report them but in my personal life I report loads of people.
Luckily through my job I am on first name terms with some of the fraud investigators!!0 -

I think it was CCS , but I have conveniently buried the letter. I will dig it back out and confirm later. It says they are listed on the HMRC website but I have yet to go and check.
Its so tempting to make that call, but I feel bad. I worry for the children if I were to do thatBut on the other hand it really really grates when I have to listen to it all.
Anyway its Sunday, the sun is shining, the happy campers in my garden have just woken and are wanting pancakes. My plan for today is to paint the fences in the back garden. What joy ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

He was home about half nine, ate the chilli and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine. Didn't manage the movie as DD2 and her friends kept on appearing from the garden for a chat and then before I knew it DD1 was back from her party !! Still a lovely evening though xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Found the letter, it is CCS Collect. The letter is a reminder notice referring to their previous correspondence ( the one I have never received, funny that !) They are disappointed in us for not forwarding the sum of £5606, we currently owe £4400. If we don't contact them immediately they will apparently recommend to their client to instigate enforcement action.
I can agree a payment plan with them though of course , although with wages as erratic as ours it pretty difficult to agree a sum, I just pay THEM each and every time someone pays us something, the debt should be down to about £3K by the end of June all being well.! xx
Off to paint now xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
