Pinot's Potty debt free journey!!!

  • Hello everyone !! Its the weekend !

I have decided that today is going to be a money free day ie I'm not going to think about it ( other than updating here !) , look at bank statements, PPI and credit card stuff or pay any bills ! I have numbers floating around in my head constantly, so today I am officially banning them ! A number free day it is to be !

But first, just for the hell of it I need to update what I did yesterday !

Work - yey, more work coming our way !
Hoovered the house right through as it was looking rather sorry for itself
Finally went back to the library and paid the fine :o

Building society to transfer some money into emergency fund/ F&F Fund , from unused grocery budget ! :T

Music Magpie box of CDs collected, so will wait for the cheque now from them.

A£di shop - £64.00 I got loads. It was on a bit of a whim as the Building Society was in the same town as A£di so it made sense to go there, but I didnt have a list just bits in my head. I started to compare what it would have cost me last night had I gone to Mr T , but it was taking me so long and the curry was burning , so I stopped. I'm sure I saved loads though, but as today is a no money thinking about day ,I wont pursue that, maybe save for monday !:D

Loads of washing and ironing done, but still plpenty more where that came from !

Singing lesson for DD1, she has some shows coming up so I brought some tickets for that, so it turned into quite an expensive day !

Kitchen Disco last night with the girls ! Glass of wine, crisps and loud music ! Mr Pinot was out working until late ,so he wasnt roped into that one !

Then we settled down to watch Bridget Jones Diary ,I havent watched it in ages, but it really made me chuckle ! DD2 was buried under piles of cushion during the rude bits !

I have washed up twice already this morning ( I want my dishwasher back !!!) but am leaving the drying for one of my darling daughters to eventually notice and to do it for me ! I could be in for a very long wait !:rotfl:

I'm planning to do some baking with DD2 this afternoon , we have made a few attempts at Cake Pops with mixed results. As I have said before, her baking is so much better than mine, but in the abscence of a food mixer at the moment ( the last one blew up ) , we are using a hand held blender to whisk cakes so its all a bit trial and error . She was bought a cake pop maker for Xmas and we haven't tried it out yet, so I think we may have a go this afternoon, and see what creations we can make.

Visiting parents this afternoon before dropping DD1 at a friends for another sleepover. Grandad Pinot hasnt been too well again this week, I was there Thursday but they havent seen the girls, so it might brighten their day !

Plan for this evening - I am hoping Mr Pinot will be home at a sensible time so we will watch a movie with DD2 and play a few board games ( she loves Monopoly, but it goes on forever and ever and ever ..............!)

So thats my plan for today, looking forward to see how your weekend goes everyone. Hope its a good one xxx

  • Morning

Just your usual quiet relaxing weekend then!

I got quite into Aldi, some stuff there is fantastic. I really like their continental ham and cheese Some things are same price as general supermarkets though so watch out. Have you found the comparison site yet? https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/landingpages/ppclandingpage.aspx?banner=31946&_kk=5b70ea04-0af8-41cd-8604-03b9de9328c4&_kt=6611836840&gclid=ci3e5rdz8q0cfecmtaodwwvgtq

Had some interest refunded by three creditors. One's being stubborn and hinting that they and others should be charging higher interest as I am almost as minumum repayments, grrrrrrrr, hope not or I may as well have done UE or bancrupcy from the start.

Electricians been problem sorted £40 and I had the money for it. Having fish and chips for a treat for lunch and watching the racing.

Enjoy baking this afternoon. I hope you Dad makes a smooth recovery and you enjoy the weekend.

    HHx

  • Wow, sounds like you've had a very busy week but also, quite a good week in terms of getting things done. Baking with your daughter sounds like it should be fun. DS2 occasionally bakes with me but I do miss not having a girl to watch girlie movies with. I don't always get a say when it comes to movies as I'm usually outvoted.

I hope your dad is feeling better after your visit with the girls. My dad was ill a couple of weeks ago, that's when it really hits home how far away I am. Anyway, hope you have a great weekend.
