Lions and tigers and bears. Oh my!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I have made a new friend today called Mike, I will call him Magic Mike I think !
My loyalties between MSE and Magic Mikes extremely gripping forum on the technicalities of Boiler Systems has me torn.
I now have my own username and am their proud newest member. I suspect they have cottoned on to the fact that I have no clue at all what I am talking about, but they are doing their best to assist me with my Boiler / Thermal Tank Difficulties.
For the record they feel that our problems do not stem from Squirrels, Badgers, Sharks , Lions or Tigers or a pastry brush for that matter , but the suggestion did make Magic Mike chuckle.
The problem ( as my very technically minded brain had already discovered from frantic googling ) appears to be that we need new Heat Sensors and / or a pump. These will be approx £200 ish plus fitting:eek:. I am not sure if Mr PG could fit those, he is pretty handy on such matters, but sadly is not around to do it. I could don my overalls, screwdriver , and attempt this myself but I fear I may blow up the entire house and the whole street. Magic Mike is waiting for assistance from his other like minded pals and has recommended someone in the area who may be able to come and take a look, as the majority of plumbers will not touch our system with a barge pole.
In the meantime I wouldn't allow the children a shower this morning so they went to school smelly apes and I managed to shower in water which one minute was scalding and the next absolutely freezing.
I need Magic Mike and his friends to find a solution quickly as these exploding noises are becoming pretty worrying and the fluctuating temperatures are getting pretty dangerous ! :eek:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Mr Hot Shot on a Yacht didn't pay up.
We discover he was far too busy schmoozing in the Far East to have time to action our payment.
Our patience has now been worn thin, solicitors have been instructed and a letter will go to him on Monday giving him seven days to pay up or Legal Action will commence. Mr & Mrs PG are in no mood for anymore game playing xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hi MrsPG,
Finally caught up with your diary, it's been a hectic few weeks over this side.
I hope you manage to get the heating sorted.
Well done to your girls, you have every right to be proud of them
Good on you for instructing Solicitors, that should give Mr Hot Shot a much deserved kick up the @rse that he needs to pay you.
Have a nice evening x0 -

I saw a programme once on naked electricians and plumbers. They charge more than the average workman. I was a bit put off when the plumber bent over the bath to look at the overflow. Quite a view...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
