    I am freezing.:(

I am working in my coat with a hot water bottle tucked inside it ! It is not a good look and is a tad difficult to type with this many layers on :rotfl:

The Heating Engineer came at 9am, he was sent by the Insurance Company as I remembered we had cover with them. He isn't familiar with our Thermal System, but thinks the problem could be the Circuit Board but is unsure. He says he will order it anyway. :eek:The problem is that when we called the Insurance Company they said the Call Out was free but if our system is over 10 years old we need to pay for the parts. Our system is 10 years and 5 months ! I think the circuit Board is about £200. He left here at 9am to go to his next job and said he would check his findings with his boss and we would receive a call within two hours. The call has not come !

We have yet to check the option suggested by my new Friend Magic Mike, Mr PG is on his way back from Manchester and said he will take a look before we agree to anything.

Looks like I may be chilly for a good few days yet !

Uugggh. What a pain. We had cold showers for a few days last week and it wasn't fun. New valve or something....apparently a not uncommon fault with that brand of boiler. With a service it was £170 odd..so enough! But least it wasn't this perishing cold..it's like Siberia at the moment. Just back in from London and have put the heating on...it's too cold to think otherwise. Just shows you though there is some sun...made £1.47 on the panels!!:rotfl:

Hope Mr PGcan work his magic ( oo er..;)) on the heating that is!

    Oh no poor you !

The heating people say the part that they think it is will take a few days. Brrrrr . hey say there is no charge,we have told them twice now to double check but they still say there will be no charge. They are wrong but who are we to argue !

Mr PG is home, he has taken the front panel off of the tank in the airing cupboard and will take a look. He said he will check the fuse first as the engineer didn't check that. He couldn't even get the front panel off, I had to tell him how to do that and then suggest he fetch his tool box from the van ! :rotfl:

In the meantime I sat in the car to warm up earlier, why didnt I think of that earlier ? :o

Ooh yes please , some of your sunshine would be lovely.

We have actually had a teeny tiny bit of sun peeping through the lounge windows this afternoon. DD1 and I fought for who got to sit on the tiny spot where it hit the carpet and try and warm up !! :D

Mrs PG, what a bl**dy nightmare. I cannot cope without warmth & hotwater, but our boiler decides to pack up so frequently in winter you have my utter sympathies. Last time I was fully dressed with coat and dressing gown over, attractive sight I was ;)

I even boiled about 20 kettles to run a bath to try and get warm!! All of this just makes for a cross Princess :o

Fab idea of sitting in the car :D

I really hope either Mr PG or the heating engineer come up trumps and soon for you xxx

I have left my job now :j and was in the unit today, it was bl**dy freezing despite having so many layers on I looked like Michelin man :rotfl::rotfl:Hot water bottle it is tomorrow. Struggle to type in gloves :rotfl:

Mrs P you have my sympathy about the cold house. We are shivering too here. I have to admit to having one room which is just about bearable but we have been sitting in coats too. DS3 rightly said we would be wearing coats in this temperature outside.

We did have sunshine here this morning. Dogs and humans fighting to sit in the sun :D

:j:j I have heat. My Saviour arrived this morning at 8am with the part and ten minutes later the house was warming up. There was no mention of a charge , I obviously didn't bring the subject of money up with him either and off he went on his merry way :D

But as usual nothing is simple, after he left I set about cleaning the downstairs toilet and discovered that the wood boxing in the pipes was discoloured, a lovely sludgy brown. On further inspection I found a pipe going up into the toilet was furred up and soaking wet . Obviously a leak somewhere along the line. I have mopped it up and will call a friend of ours who has sorted the loos before to take a look. Mr PG not home until next week now to sort himself although I could swear I could hear him banging his head against the brick wall when I called to tell him the next saga ! :rotfl:

Oh Pooh thats not good. :( We have sunshine this morning , I hope you do too, it did warm the house a little yesterday.

I have lots of hot water bottles I could send you, the girls and I were strapping them onto us with dressing gown cords so we could walk around and still keep warm ish . Its probably quite lucky that Mr PG hasnt been around to see the state of me over the last few days with my multilayered outfits, I think he would have filed for divorce.
