Life good here thanks. Very impatient with debt, grrrrr. Gone self managed, took mortgage break too to throw extra at it. NRAM CCA blunder means my mortgage account is now reduced by £3k too, yippee. Changed hoover bag and dishcloth so all a step closer to freedom.
Just need to work on the patience thing

Fantastic news, Im glad you made the self managed jump in the end.
Patience isnt my virtue either ! Im too old to change that now though ! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Car is making a very very loud bleeping / alarm sound. It drives me insane as I drive and makes my head hurt !
It thinks the brake is on when it is off and vice versa. So the bleeping noise is telling me that the brake is on even though I am driving merrily along the road at 70mph and it is well and truly off.
It appears to be a sensor problem of which the wet and damp seem to be the main cause and set off the beeping . All was fine and quiet yesterday until I drove through a mini snow storm and when I came out the other side the beeping began.
It was still there this morning on the school run. I called the garage , they said pop it in and they would take a quick look, they know me and my car well ! I think they usually hide when they know we are coming. I jumped in the car to take it to the garage and guess what ? It decided not to beep, not for love nor money. I still took it to the garage anyway. He thinks I am a crazy lady and the car sat there and behaved. He suggested it might be lack of brake fluid, it isnt. I told him it seems to be aggravated by the damp, he smiled and said the weather would be lovely for the next few days so hopefully putting an end to my problems.
I went on my merry way, drove to my appointments etc etc, then I decided that as the car was filthy after the snow and a few long journeys I would run it through the car wash !!!
What silly idiot with car trouble of which the cause seems to be damp puts their car through the car wash I ask you !?
Can you guess whats happening now !!!?:rotfl:

Oh PG your life is as much as a roller coaster as mine
Well done on pay off the VAT. We have had similar problems to you with Tax. They want us to give a cast iron guarantee that we can pay a certain amount each month. But in business nothing is guaranteed. They must know that.
It must be wonderful to have heating and hot water again. Can I come and visit please?
I like your idea of hot water bottles strapped to yourselves. I may try that when I have to go into the kitchen. Just until it warms a little.
It is typical of a car to stop playing up as soon as you take it to a garage. Let's hope it is raining next time you have a free moment to take it in againbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Mrs P, I think we should ban you from electric machinery of any kind. You don't seem to have a very good time with them. I think we should instead request Mr P to get you a cart and donkey. Good news about paying the VAT. your comment that you can get a visit at any time reminded me of the time the VAT man dropped in on our business one year, and my DH was in the front of shop at the time. He saw the bloke and said "Hi there xxxxx, fancy seeing you here, how are you, what are you doing now" It turns out they were at school together! No investigation took place that day, as they can't investigate someone they know (even if it had been 20 years since they'd seen each other).
Then there was the time I said we'd sold a clapped out van for 50p, because I couldn't remember how much. The Inspector logged 50p. Lesson - don't joke with 'em, they have a sense-of-humour-ectamyWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -

Could I request a limo with chauffeur instead please Kerri ? ! There's nowhere to store the Pinot in the back of a cart ! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

You can visit anytime Pooh there's plenty of room
The hot water bottle trick does work, looks pretty silly but who cares!
The car is going in next week. It hasn't been serviced in two years. Mr PG usually does it but he just hasn't the time and its in desperate need. They will take a look at the beeping then for me. It's a friend who owns the garage so bills will be pretty low thankfully.
I parked it in the sunshine to dry it out and the beeping finally stopped as I made my way home tonight, but who knows what tomorrow may bring !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Its Mr PG's birthday today !:bdaycake: Sadly he isn't here to celebrate with us although I am threatening to pack the girls up in the car after school and go and see him armed with all of the cards that have been arriving for him .
Its raining out though, therefore my car is making its irritating beeping noise and I am not sure I can put up with that for a two hour car journey ! I will decide later.
DD1 is sleeping in my bed, she joined me at midnight last, feeling poorly with girls stuff. She finally fell asleep at 2am. I hate her having time off of school for this but she looks so rough. She has exams this afternoon so I will leave her sleeping , then get her into school in time for the exam. Dependent how she is I will decide if we will go and visit Mr PG or not later.
Today is Red Nose Day, DD2 has gone off to school in red nerd / geek glasses and red nails. It was decided that I should have red nails too but I couldnt be bothered to take off the sludgy nude colour I currently have on my nails , so we painted red sparkles over the top. Sadly, far from looking glamorous as planned my fingernailslook like they have a severe case of chicken pox or measles ! I think I am too ashamed to take them out in public .
Thats it, no other news today so far xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
