  • Now I have answered you all above, I had to just tell you that DD2 managed to sing in her concert last night.

Despite her nasty cold and throat she overcame her nerves, didn't need DD1 who sat in the audience whooping and clapping wildly and she sung her socks off ( actually she wasn't wearing any, she sung her tights off !)

Its the first time she has sung a solo to a big audience without DD1 standing alongside her doing some backing vocals for moral support.:D:D

This morning my manic grin isn't forced, it is genuinely a huge, wide proud grin. DD2 said "Enough already mum, you are scaring me with that crazy grin, and please stop telling me how proud you are , I think I get it by now mum !!!) Oops , best I stop now then ! :rotfl:

    Fantastic news :T:T:T:T

Apologise to all, I've been in lurking this year. Between work being manically crazy and trying to help organise a TEDx event in my spare time  all my free time at home has been knitting and reading to try and not be on the computer so much. Now I just need to stop reading my phone and me and the OH will be so much the happier for it, I'm such a twitter addict.

Mrs PG you are doing so amazingly well. Please let me know if I could ever send you anything for the girls, I know I'm due a clothing clear out so please please PLEASE PM me your address xxx

Thankyou all, my head is soooo huge I cant get out of the office today so it looks as though I will be stuck here forever :(. But I have downloaded the video of her singing so that is on repeat whilst I work, its best not to watch as DD1 was in control of the filming but was far too busy dancing and leaping around, therefore I feel rather sea sick if I try and watch it so I just listen. I could never in a million years have stood in front of people and sung, I think that's why I am showing off today !!

Fallen, good to hear from you. I do believe its good to leave the gadgets alone if you are spending evenings with the OH. I rarely use mine when Mr PG is around, the girls are banned too if we are all sitting watching a movie together or trying to have some quality time.:)

Thank you for your offer for the girls, to be honest they are really really tiny although you could possibly be tiny also, its very kind of you though. They Sizes 6 and a 4 . DD1 was bought the majority of Top Shop, I think, for her birthday from friends and family and also has a multitude of vouchers and cash. Her wardrobe is now posh and bulging and she is a very happy cookie. I cant believe how lucky she was. DD2's birthday is fast approaching ( 25 days she informed me today ) I would imagine she will be bombarded with gifts also, so i think their wardrobes will be sorted for now at least, as long as DD2 doesnt grow again ! Your offer is really appreciated but my head tells me that you should stick the clothes on ebay then treat yourself and OH to a night out with the proceeds. :)

In work type news, we have been informed by Mr Hot Shot Yacht that the invoice will be paid and in our account by Friday. We will not count our chickens yet, but should it arrive we will be in a position to pay the VAT bill in full whilst leaving a little for other expenses and also paying some to THEM. There wont be much left, but we have another payment due on the contract tomorrow which will mean we can scrape by and pay the Vat but with nothing left to live on. If the other money arrives on Friday that will sort that out. If it doesnt then I will have to rethink the Vat but I really don't want to owe them / pay late on top of everything else if I can help it.

Things are getting back on track, the payments from the contract should arrive weekly, now until it ends and that should mean we are in a position to play catch up again.:) I will plan everything out very carefully though, so although it will be tight my fuzzy head will be happier if I don't owe all and sundry in addition to the Pinot National Debt.

We now need to drum up business for after the contract ends , so we need to think about April. We have a few days confirmed work but Mr PG will also need a break even if only a few days. He is away this week, back Fri night then away again Saturday for another three days. He / We need a couple of days off now . I am hoping we may be able to do that for a couple of days in the school holidays.

I have spent today so far firing off emails and putting documents together for a few bits and pieces on the work front , so we will see if they come to fruition.

I am feeling much happier and more positive than I was last week :D

I know I like to wrap the clothes up nicely too. I also pop a tumble drier sheet in with them, so they smell freshly laundered!!

    It is so much nicer.

Aww wish id seen this before I wrapped my 8 (or 9, i forget!) parcels. That is a great idea

Perfectly put. I am glad the manic grin is a geniune and not a forced one Mrs PG. Your girls are an absolute credit to you.

I cannot believe you iron your ebay stuff!! I wish i could be bothered :rotfl::rotfl:My take on it is that people will always wash their ebay stuff when they receive it so no point wasting my time ironing it :o Well thats my excuse and I am sticking to it

Sooo glad to hear yacht man is paying up, about bloody time!!

Good to hear that you are feeling much more positive

    xx
