:eek: Got woken this morning by yet another massive crashing and banging noise coming from the tank in the airing cupboard. I can now hear the pump whirring on and off. We have heat, and for now appear to have hot water again but I am unsure for how long . I really need to get this sorted

  • Crashing and banging is a concern.

Im renewing my heating and having an inglenook put in, new pipes new radiators, etc. This will cost 6 thousand pounds. Saving is required!
    Trying to shift that debt!

I am not even going to think about new boilers etc, its not in my vocabulary ! :rotfl:

Funny you should say that, I saw a Squirrel this morning, so maybe he has made a home in the airing cupboard. I never did see the going of him after we made him an escape route last year ! :rotfl:

No, the Mr PG sized hole is still there. There were three but two werent big enough for him to fit through :) They are boarded and plastered but they haven't been finished off or painted over. They look lovely ;). I showed them to my new builder friend on Monday and he said that when they fix the roof they will also sort out the holes . As they were made to rescue the birds that came in through the hole in the roof it is the NHBC's responsibility to repair all damage including Mr PG sized holes. I was slightly embarrassed explaining why the hole was so large though . :o

Today I am breaking my day down into hourly chunks to try and achieve everything I need to as I have been failing miserably recently.

    So I spent : -
one hour working early this morning

30 mins googling noisy Heating Systems and Pumps. The signs are that the pump could be Scaled up I am not so sure. I will investigate further.

30 mins making beds and tidying bedrooms

1 hour clearing kitchen, dishwasher getting washing on and entering comps and updating diary

I am now planning one hour of ironing , I have ironed two things so far :o - that should take me to 11am .

1 hour to file VAT return and also make a decision on how much we can or cant pay to them. It could take longer to play around with the figures.

1 hour to hit the shops and change some of DD1's birthday presents she was bought that are too big for her and also try and nab some more YSL freebies. I have a little stash going on :)

At 2pm by the time I have done the above, I can then fit in another two hours of work hopefully.

At 4 pm I will spend one hour writing to the Solicitor re DD1s Injuries from Car Accident and sending over all relevant documents etc that she needs.

Then it will be 5pm. I will feed my children and then drop DD2 at a friends whilst DD1 and I attend Parents Evening.

If I am lucky I will be home by 7 ish after picking DD2 up on my way home.

At 7 pm I will nag DD1 into doing some more Science Revision for an exam and get DD2 to repack her Dance costumes ready for Saturdays show.

Then it will be 8 pm , I hope, assuming things go to plan !!

This will be fun, I am already 11 minutes behind schedule, something tells me this plan may not be my best yet ! :rotfl:
