Quick list of things achieved yesterday for my own benefit really. Way back in the diary I often used to do a list and cross it off during the day but I have stopped doing that recently. but I think I need to start again. I have so much whizzing around in my head that I think I need the focus as I seem to be bumbling from one thing to another and not really achieving anything properly. :-
So yesterday went like this -
[STRIKE]Waited in for new mobile phones to be delivered and returned broken ones.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Went to Post Office and posted Ebay Parcels sold over the weekend.
Finally posted letter to Santander re Interest added
Received date for new MRI Scan :j
Added more items to ebay to sell and sold another £15 worth of bits last night, these must be packaged up today.[/STRIKE]
Finished letter to THEM, must post today - Still not posted. Oops !
[STRIKE]Went shopping finally and stocked up a bit
Made another Jamies 15 min dinner which was lovely and looked pretty too. Presentation isnt really my thing when I cook usually. I made , with the help of the girls Kicking Sticky Cicken with Watermelon and raddish salad and crunchy Noodles. Highly recommended !
Worked as usual
Cleared out spare room ready for DD2 to move into and dumped things in the loft.
Went through the house and got rid of old magazines of which there were many Im ashamed to say !
Cleaned kitchen, utility, hall and dining room floors[/STRIKE]
Looked at the ironing, groaned and walked away ! Still looking, still groaning !
[STRIKE]Wrote note to DD1 as she has burnt her bedroom carpet in three places with straighteners. Yes it needs replacing but thats not the point. Apaprently she had noticed it but thought it was shadows on the carpet not burn marks !
Cleaned kitchen and polished downstairs rooms.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Noticed The Cat That Shall Not Be Named has another Tick  16 removed last week. [/STRIKE] Not called vet yet , must do
Anyway cant think what else, but that was yesterday.
Today is another day !!
Mr PG flies home tonight about 9pm but then disappears again tomorrow. All going really well on the job though so hopefully it bodes well and we may pick up some more work. The last time we worked for this particular company was 3 years ago and every time they had offered work since, we were busy with other clients, so its been nice to work for them again.
I need to get out today, I have cabin fever, not left the house barely or the office since Saturday when I took the girls shopping. The car needs a run to get some juice in the battery. I need to deliver a birthday card and present so will do that and then maybe nip to buy a Christmas Present for the Outlaws. I plan to work until approx 1pm, then assuming nothing urgent needs doing, nip out for a bit. Tonight is netball and the dreaded dance classes and I will also drop into see my parents. So it will be a busy day .
Have a lovely day everyone xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hello
. I decided against trying to read right back to September because, as you quite rightly said, there is a lot! But it was lovely to read your recent goings-on.
I particularly loved your fairy story, and instantly recognised myself in your role (though with considerably more ranting, nagging and screeching!). Master Happy would play your DDs part, except that wearing pigeon-sh*t encrusted clothes for days (possibly weeks) on end really wouldn't faze him at all! And he's 21!
Good to see your lists re-surfacing although they always did make me feel inadequate!
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Hiya Mrs Happy,
The lists help me stay focused when I think I am doing rubbish and getting nowhere fast. At least if I look at the lists I can try and convince myself I am actually doing ok, if that makes sense.
Really good to see you back xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Aaaargh !!! Mr Pinot flew home late last night, he is going again about lunchtime .:(
Unfortunately he forgot to tell me that the builders were coming at 8am. Well actually I knew they were coming but I thought they were just taking yet another look at the problems with the house. What Mr PG had neglected to tell me is that they are starting work on the chimney today ! I really wasnt expecting this !
Oh.......... and I have a confession to make, I bought a Christmas Cushion and Doormat yesterday !Not very MSE, but the Christmas Doormat is tradition and goes outside on the 1st December every year. I hated the thought of not having one this year.

Aww bless you Mrs PG, I hope you feel better and the builders aren't being too noisy.
I want to buy a Christmas tree and things soon I think, our first Christmas together I'm quite excited.
We have a IFA coming on Monday to sort out insurance for us for if something happened to pay the mortgage, I would be just about ok to pay for everything on my wage alone but I know the OH wouldn't be and I didn't want to do it whilst he was on redundancy notice so timing is right now. This means lots of cleaning the flat to get it ready but I'm hoping at the same time I can make my space for the Christmas thingsHSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

He was going to do our Mortgage for us but we just went straight to H@lif@x ourselves which worked in our favour as it's OH's main bank and they could see most of my details too so rated us as A+ which meant we didn't have to give any documentation. The fact we were FTB's with a 75% LTV helped a lot as well I think.
Speaking of our flat the OH got a surprise yesterday when a letting agent knocked on our front door (inside the door coded main entrance) to ask if anyone was in the flat above us as they were supposed to be moved out and the locks had been changed! There's very definitely a single mother above us which a toddler, she leaves the buggy in the hallway outside our flat and occasionally has someone stay who leaves a bike there too. OH said the agent check their mailbox for post looking for a name I presume, you'd think they'd know if a tenant hadn't moved out, this woman (I call her this as whenever I say hello she ignores me) has been there since about May I think (we moved in March so would make sense).HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

Yep Mortgage insurance is definitely a priority. We had to cancel ours at one point as due to the nature of our work it was fortunes and we just couldnt afford to pay it. I was terrified something would happen the whole time.
Thankfully the Insurance prices came down and we have cover again, but it was a pretty scary time !
How exciting Fallen to be spending your first Christmas together. Will it be just the two of you or will you be visiting family ?
I dream of spending Christmas holed up in a log cabin with my favourite people somewhere snowy. Canada would be my destination of choice !
