  • DD2 dreamt last night that we died when our house was flooded :(

She apparently swum underwater to rescue the drowning Bunny Rabbit, before she bit the dust and wrote care instructions for whoever found " The cat that shall not be named " which were popped inside a plastic bottle to bob around in the floodwater until they were found.

Thankfully we are all still here, alive and kicking. We are very close to the river but I haven't ventured down to take a look but I think we are safe for now !! She has now made plans on where we will shelter should the rains begin again and the river burst its banks this time, god forbid

I do wonder sometimes where on earth she came from ! :rotfl:

What a superstar, it looks as good as new :D

  • I have a confession. I overspent last month I'm embarrassed as this is the first time since we bought the house. I'd done so well paying off my student overdraft (2k) and my credit card (1.5k) within 6 months of graduating.

Blergh. I've paid £300 off my HSBC card and £200 off my Halifax card today. I'll pay any left over when I get paid again before Christmas at a push they'll be paid off again in January. I'm so annoyed. Hopefully fessing up will stop this happening again.

In non crappy news I'm so happy with how the scarf is coming on that I'm knitting for my Mam for Christmas :) I think it's almost half way there.

  • Oh Fallen, don't feel guilty. We all need a few treats every now and then. You only live once !

You are doing great , keep up the good work but please enjoy the odd treat sometimes or things will really get you down.

Now get back to that knitting woman and stop worrying ! :D

I am sitting in bed eating and drinking the above. Salt and vinegar chips sticks for those who may be interested! Mr Pinot is away, he would be horrified to hear that I am eating crisps in bed !

I am pondering my week , yet have realised despite being busy and pretty shattered I still have so much I have not done. I threatened a return of the lists but they fell by the wayside but I must revive them starting now !

Car insurance renewal must be done tomorrow. I have quotes but I have done nothing further. Current insurance company wants to increase by £20 per month after my recent altercation with the Dance Teachers car. Her repair bill was only £750 and the car was parked with no one in It . I have cheaper quotes so must spring into action.

Gas and Electricity, currently with Eon. The Tariff we were on has finished and they want to increase by £100 per month  I must shop around tomorrow. We walk around in darkness, I don't use the tumble dryer, I have turned off the freezer, but I do still use the heating but carefully.yet they still want to put the prices up.

I have millions of other things buzzing around, letters to write, people to call, Xmas stuff to think about , eBay parcels to wrap and send. etc

I think I could write and write this evening, I have so much I want and need to do but I won't, I would bore you all to tears if I wrote it all down :o

I will polish off my crisps and get my head down instead before my whizzy brain takes over !

    Night x

  • Currently loving ebay at the moment !

I have made over £300 in the last month alone. I am now frantically looking ofr more items to sell. THe Family have been told if they stand still long enough or leave anything lying around for too long I will sell them or it !! The money was originally earmarked for garden furniture for next year but I am using for Xmas pressies instead, that way it takes most of the worry away. As we are hosting this year and need to Keep Up Appearances the cash will come in very handy indeedy . :D

I have recently sold some of the girls educational text books, completely unused, but for more than I actually paid for them or at least the same price.;) Some were bought for quite alot of money, one book sold for £16 for example, so its definitely worth doing. Strangely they have all been sold to people living in the Isle Of Man ? Why could this be, do you think there is a shortage of Text books there ? ! I also Sold DD2s old Hockey Stick a few days ago .This is packaged up now and ready to go off to pastures new. I sold it for more than I originally paid , so this morning I am one happy girl and Christmas is pretty much paid for ! :D
