  • The Outlaws finally arrived an hour and a half late last night ! They practically had their dinner thrust at them as they walked in the door we were all so hungry ! She came armed with Xmas Presents for the children. "I guess that means you dont plan on seeing your only Grandchildren at Christmas then" I thought to myself upon finding the sparkly packages on the hall floor !! . Very strange behaviour ,but then I should be used to it by now !

DD2 and I did sleep last night, yey !! No more X Factor discussions at 3am last night for me. Poor Mr PG had to go to work at 2am, the Outlaws didnt leave until half 10 so he had barely any sleep. The girls and I overslept though this morning, I woke with a start at 8am, and hobbled around the house shouting at them to get out of bed like an old Fishwife ! DD2 should have been at school at 7.30 this morning ! Oops ! :o

They miraculously made it to school before the bell went and I then went merrily on my way to my first appointment. I stopped at the lights and saw my phone flashing, picked it up and it turns out I had double booked myself and should have been somewhere else entirely at 9am. I thought it was tomorrow I was due there. Silly Me ! Anyway I managed to re arrange one of them and all is now sorted. Not the best start to the day.

Have just got home and back to my broom cupboard, I have missed a Royal Mail Delivery . Grrr. Now need to go and collect tomorrow.

Ebay sales still going ok. Have about £30 worth of bids at the moment with about 5 days to go for a few items.

Oh and hello to Lois, thankyou for dropping by. Lovely to see you. :D

Hope you are all ok and you have a good day xx

  • Letter sent to M£S finally, asking them to continue with the Payment Arrangement. I will await the reply with baited breath ! :D

Had a call from the NHBC's Builder re the work needed on the house. The Builder of our house have declined the offer to put right the mess they started so its over to the NHBCs nominated people. They are coming bright and early tomorrow 7am  ( I will need to make sure I am out of my PJ's so they dont get a fright !) to take a look. Im still a bit unsure when they intend starting the work . Knowing my luck 2 days before christmas !! :rotfl:

Oh and I finally decided to redo my Cashflow Financial Statement. Funnily enough it didnt look good  hence some of the struggling of late. I think we are managing well to be honest considering that since the last one was done, the mortgage, council tax and water have increased, DD2 is now at secondary school and we have her bus fares and a few other additional expenses also. We are lucky in that as work has gone well recently I have been able to pay ourselves a little extra to cover the shortfall. Its more the lack of knowing when we will get paid that is still causing me stress and issues as you know. Anyway the Statement is done now, I wont use it, I will continue paying what we currently , even if its tough at times if the money doesnt come through and continue squirreling away into the F&F fund .

Well done on sending the letter, keeping my fingers crossed they agree to it :j

Please keep in mind that you can always reduce things if the stress of when people are paying becomes too much, that Statement should be used as your net when you need it.

I hope I continue to amuse hehe :) Tonight's tasks are to tidy up, my aim is for lots of little tidying sessions and get a lot done whilst the OH is at work, and play with my knitting a bit more, I'd love to make my Mam a scarf for Christmas, she made me one last year just after a HUGE Doctor Who one and I'd like to return the favour for her but a little more her style ;) Think I'll stick a DVD of my choice on the telly and then I can potter around doing things, no doubt it'll be Adele at the royal album hall I love my music.

    Hi Mrs PG and friends..

After struggling with my smartphone I have realised that I have free wifi at the hotel..DOH! Anyway now am tapping merrily away catching up on your diaries. In the interests of work life balance I am NOT working the evening..worked until midnight last night so seems fair. As I am in bonny Scotland I may even treat myself to a whisky...( you see I know how to live!:-))

I am only away for about 24 hours and so much has gone on your diary..am sure you will hit the £20k target soon. boo to carp packaging. That is SO miserable. this Xmas I am struggling with wanting to limit the budget plus minimal weight as we will be abroad. I am NOT seeking sympathy!! But I hate it when gift companies are so thoughtless. I am trying hard to buy a small number of special things rather than lots of things ( as I know you are) so if even one present is not a surprise that's hard to take.

Having problems with tinternet so will pop back soon

  • Went to A£da tonight wearing odd shoes ! Not intentionally of course but sadly i only realised this after getting out of the car and realising I was walking very strangely indeed !

I own two pairs of black suede boots, one pair higher than the other. In my rush to get out f the door I had grabbed one of each in the dark, stuck them on and jumped in the car ! It was only whilst loitering by the broccoli I realised that one shoe was higher than the other !

By the time I met up with DD1 I had made myself giggle so much ! I told my mortified daughter what I had done. Needless to say her tweet this evening was "When Mum goes to Asda wearing odd shoes ! "

As told to mrs b over on her thread, I have no need to Tweet when I have a daughter who broadcasts every aspect of my life all over twitter for me !

  • NHBC Builders have been this morning, the problems appear worse and harder to rectify than orginally thought !

It looks as though DD2 will have to moved out of her bedroom while they rip out the wall now, we were hoping this would be avoided. Maybe nows the time for her to choose some new wallpaper as they will need to redecorate for us !!:D

They are coming back next week with more people in tow to take another look, but it looks like I will end up in one hell of a mess !

Indeed and I might be able to have a fire for the first time in 10 years, rather than a fire full of logs strung with fairy lights !! :D

How was the knitting accompanied by Adele last night ?!

Sounds promising but a bit stressy in the meantime. Free re-decoration is always a winner tho!
