Granny - Indeed I do appear to have got myself into a pickle this morning ! :rotfl:I will most definitely blame the lovely chilled Mojitos, but luckily for me I didnt et myself into too much trouble last night, unlike the very bad HH !!!
HH ! - Girl after my own heart, crushed ice is the way to go !! Yep I agree with the predators, I will sort out the water rates somehow when I ahve time to think properly. I am worrying about Christmas at this precise moment in time ! I am definitely getting back to my usual self !! Think Mr Pinot preferred me a bit more drugged up, I didnt stress out as much ! I think I need to take a chill pill.
Thankyou for you tips re the spreadsheet, I will bear it in mine. I have a spreadsheet for the predators and also one for the NAtional Debt itself incl the mortgage and everything. The rest is in my head, which usually is pretty clued up and remembers most things, but has gone a bit awry of late.x

£67.00 on Art Equipment in addition to the £20 already spent. Still need to get a few things which will amount to about another £45 ish but I will order on Amazon as they were cheaper.
£16.00 on school shoes for DD2, DD1 couldnt see anything she liked ! Grrr ! Although she did point out a few bags in Top Shop that she liked the look of as a school bag. £38.00 on a school bag anyone ? As I told her I dont ever buy myself bags so if she think Im spending that on a school bag she has another thing coming. She did, oh so generously ,offer to share it with me, she would use Monday to Friday and I get the use of it Saturdays and Sundays !!! What a deal !!!
I did buy a Christmas present in TK Maxx for £7.00 though for her , so I will hide that away.
Came home and settled down to do the VAT return due by 31st. We need to sign up for VAT Online now apparently, I was still paying by cheque as it gave us a couple of days grace if we were late getting money in, but we are not allowed to do so anymore. Turned into a frustrating time as in order to register I need information from the last VAT return, which it appears I have neglected to file, very unusual for me . Have turned the office inside out and I cannot find it, so I have given up in a sulk !
DD2 spilt banana milkshake on her one year old lovely double mattress which has soaked right through to the underside and onto the carpet beneath the bed. Just what I need, to be scrubbing with a bad back and I cant lift the mattress to scrub the underside, so she has crawled underneath and done the best job she can. I have soaked it in white vinegar to get rid of any dodgy smells that may linger when the milk goes off and scattered bicarbonate of soda all over it as well for good measure and opened the windows wide. There were no other alternatives as all shops shut nowon a bank holiday monday. Have just dragged the steam cleaner up two flights of stairs , hoisted it on top of the bed in an attempt to give it a deep clean !!! She will be sleeping in the spare room tonight, but she is happy as she loves the bed in there. I jsut hope it doesnt start smelling in a few days and I have done enough to rescue it. Really not in the market for purchasing a new mattress at the moment..
Back killing me now after all the escapades, but Mr Pinot just called to say he is coming home this evening and has grabbed the ingrediants for a spag bol at the station , as I have yet to make it out food shopping since we have been home.
What a wonderful Bank Holiday Monday...... I do hope everyones elses day has been far more exciting than mine !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

The good news is, you get an extra week to file the return and if you also pay electronically, you get an extra week to pay. It has to be in their bank by 7th of the following month or the nearest Fri before. If your online banking allows Faster Payments then you can get the maximum time extension as you can hold on to the cash till the very last day (so if your July qtr VAT is due 31st Aug, then you'd have till Fri 5th Sep to pay into their account).
Don't know if this compensates at all for losing the flexibility of a cheque but I find it much easier.
Hope this helps.

GB thankyou so much for this. It helps enormously. I have laid awake worrying as the invoices are slow being paid and I had to borrow a couple of hundred from the VAT account to cover some other business expenses, so your information this morning has really pleased me. Now all I need to do is find the last blasted return ! I have never been this disorganised in my life !
Thankyou ! :TLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Well I have nothing to report today really other than boring stuff.
List for today was :-
Put washing on Line to dry
Iron washing and dare tackle some ironing engulfing the house.
Steam clean mattress again
Clear toys from DD2s bedroom as she wants it a toy free zone for if inviting new Secondary School friends over. They are now in playroom and we now cant move
List more things on ebay
Call Direct Line re Roof as despite sending in quotes months and months ago we have heard nothing from them
Steam clean lounge carpet to try adn get rid of Rabbit Wee smell as we cant claim on house insurance again ! Yuk !
Find VAT Returns to enable me to sign up - Still cant find them
Buy birthday present for my sister - dodnt want to go out so tried to order online but they cant get it to me by tomorrow which is her birthday
Have friend of DD2 to play
Take DD1 to a party, after arguing with her over phone usage last night which resulted in it being confiscated. She has been allowed to go to the party as she set her alarm today and got up and cleared the last three school years text books from her room without any reminding ( I have only been waiting since last years summer hols !!!)
Speak to Gym re requesting refund of membership where we have been unable to go. They say they cant refund past months, but in production of a certificate tor doctors letter they will suspend the membership for next couple of months, but they must have doctors letter by Friday which I dont think I will be able to get.
Parents popped in to say hello which was nice !
Drum up work for end of September....not successful so far
Help DD2 clean out Rabbit Hutch
Pay both water bills - I paid £500 less on mortgage for August to enable us to cover the cost of those bills and some other unexpected items. Mortgage company are really good and are used to us making payments in dribs and drabs. we should get paid by Friday to enable me to then pay the additional £500 , but it will mean juggling again in September.
So thats that for now. Still Juggling the money, but nowhere near as much as we were prior to LBM, so thats got to be good !!
Sun is still shining, I might go and sit in my very very tatty, scruffy garden. Mr Pinot put weed killer or something on the grass to get rid of thistles but he said we cant cut it until they start dying, Im not sure why but he knows what he is doing, used to run a Lawncare Business many moons ago, you would never know it though by the state of our garden, sadly he has no time to look after ours !!!
Hope everyone has had a good day and the sun is shining where you are xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Lovely to hear from , and don't be silly your not moaning ! We need to get alot, but not all of the girls uniform from a specific shop unfortunately which definitely adds to the cost.
The earrings are out, Mr Pinot made it home that evening, so about midnight he was taking apart the sink! I didn't fancy that job after tackling the mattress and smelly carpet !
We have work until 10 Sep then about another 5 days on top. We need about 22 to just scrape by and pay everything. I am sure something will crop up, we have a few possible jobs in the offing. Then I will worry about October ! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
