Mrs PG! Sorry that I have been out of touch for so long, and especially during a tough time. How are you feeling? Starting to get back to normal?
The cold turkey thing sounded dreadful. Last thing you need when you are already trying to recover. I'm a big believer in what the other guys were saying though. Fill yourself up with lots of natural goodness so your body has all the nutrients it needs to repair itself. Oh, and lots of sleep too!
In other news, I am INSANELY jealous about your iPad! I would absolutely LOVE one, but need to save up first. In the past I would have just put it on a credit card without a care in the world. How times change eh?
Also jealous/happy/amazed to hear that the car went through its MOT first time! Mine is due in for a service and MOT next week. I'm probably 75% confident that it will pass first time, but the brakes are sounding a bit squeaky. Oh well. It's in budget so that's what counts.
Does your gym have an injury/illness policy so you can pause your direct debit? Most of the big chains do these days, but they tend to hide it in the T&Cs rather than drawing attention to it. No point paying for something you can't use eh? All you would need is a Doctor's note, which gives you an excuse to go back to see Mr Clooney haha.
 Take care of yourself!
 Oh, and WOW, well done with the repayments!!!AIM: Debt free by [STRIKE]Dec13[/STRIKE]/Apr14TOTAL: Jan12 [STRIKE]£30,000[/STRIKE]/£13,300 Mar13[STRIKE]AMEX[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£2,500[/STRIKE] Bank [STRIKE]£12,000[/STRIKE]/£8,500 Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,000[/STRIKE]/£4,800 [STRIKE]Parents[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£8,500[/STRIKE]0

Sorry I haven't been around much this week Pinot. It's been a tough old week and one I don't want to repeat for a very long time, if at all.
I'm so pleased to hear you're managing to eat some good healthy foods. In case you need any more lbs, I'm more than happy to send you some via air mail. I have more than enough to go around. Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

            Morning Mrs PG
Popped in to see how the recovery is going.
Am in geek mode so wondered if there were any signature updates!
Hey I can geek away possibilities till the cows come home. LOL
I used to think budgetting was keeping my fingers crossed. Then I started trying to spend as little as possible. Then I started to learn the price of everything and make sure I was getting value for money. Then I started monitoring variance and spending ahead in the right places to get yearly grocery shopping down rather than week to week. It got me into spreadsheets and looking at what ifs etc etc etc. This visualisation has become very powerful motivator for me and also whiles away some of the time and pain when I exercise. Like for instance I have 14 hoover bags.......each lasts 3 to 4 months......where and what position will I be in when I have 7 left and when I have a to buy a new set.
 I need help lol
Just a note, my fridge freezer I thought was on it's last legs at the start of my DMP, leaks water under the salad boxes........ it is still chugging along two years later and I am fit and well. It is going to have to stop proper before I replace it if it intends to tempt me to the shop in the next 23 months.
Just realised next Monday is BH so I will be paid a few days earlier so only 5 more sleeps to signature update
Hope everyone well and enjoying the holiday

HH I have no signature updates for you at the moment, I'm sorry. I am looking forward to yours though !
Mr Dec , I had no idea I could possibly claim back the gym membership , they have been emailing asking where we had got to, but I hadn't got around to replying to them , and yes another trip to visit the lovely Mr Clooney would be fantastic ! Any excuse ! :rotfl :rotfl
Piq, I hope you are keeping busy and lack of updates are all good news.
Well , I am now heading back to the exhausting business of recuperating !
We have had to work while here , but that's fine and we have managed to drum up some work for the end of sep as things were looking quiet . I could happily stay here forever and work poolside instead of my little office back at home !
Looking forward to catching up with you all very soon x xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

            Helloooo,
We got home a few days ago, I wish I had or could have stayed though. This is a quick update as we have a wedding this evening, so leaving shortly.
The story behind the holiday just roughly was that a very good friend called offering the use of their house and car in SPain for us all , knowing that Mr Pinot had just finished a contract and we had a 9 day gap behind jobs for him to take a little bit of time off after the crazy hours he had been working. The beautiful house is somewhere in Spain, I cant say where , just incase, and they were aware I hadnt been well, that Mr Pinot had been working like a crazy mad man and bascially that despite our happy smiles etc things were not quite as stressfree as we were portraying. They lent us the use of their house and car and shipped us off for some much needed R&R . We were reluctant as we still needed to pay for flight seats and after much discussion we decided to use a little of the money from my Full & Final Fund( I feel very guilty about this one, and having come home to loads of bills even more guilty, but more of that later ) I hunted around for the cheapest possible flights and off we went. My surgeon was initially reluctant to allow me to fly, but after convincing "George" that is was Home from home (we have been before to the house) , and after promising to behave myself he gave me the go ahead to fly. We had a wonderful time and were very very good with the spends, I even found myself instructing Mr Pinot to put things back in the supermarket and buy only the cheapest local bits, I think he thought I was going a tad overboard at times though. I have been filling myself full of fruit and veg, no coffee( I have gone off of that) and the odd Spritzer (still not fancying the Pinot !) Aaargh .................................................................................................................................Oops must dash, I have been told I need to leave for the wedding NOW .........
