  • Don't go and overdo things. You should be taking it easy.

  • Snap, we've had a letter from Virgin MBNA transferring the debt to Aktiv Kapital. I'm sure this is our first debt that has been passed on.

Glad to hear you a feeling better, but remember take your time at getting things done. I know how you feel about wanting to get some housework sorted, but honestly it can wait. :)

Hey it doesn't matter how your debt figure is coming dowm, its going in the right direction. Well done.

Please feel free to take as many as my lbs as you would like, if my spare lbs were £s I'd be very rich.:) xx

  • Just getting caught up diaries one at a time (whilst studiously ignoring mine... * ahem * )

Glad you finally got your op and that it seems to have given you some relief.

I know lots of others have beaten me to it, but here's my offering, in order of what I can remember as I read through the last few pages:

Dishwasher - Congrats! What a fab hubby to think of making your life easier! I hope he or your girls (I know he works long hours) were washing up by hand in the meantime and not making you stand at the sink! I would be lost without mine now. We have five programs on ours and I still only ever use the one 'Eco' setting every time. :rotfl:

Feeling wonky - This will be a combination of coming off the pills (especially if you've been on them for a long time) and you also have to remember that you have had MAJOR ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY. Your body has been cut open, pulled apart, tweaked and put back together again. Of course you will be weak, tired, out of sorts.... Imagine getting hit by a 10 ton truck. It's a bit like that. You don't just bounce up straight away. So, try to take it easy, relax, let your body heal before you start planning any bungy jumping trips. :D

School Holidays - Your daughters are probably LOVING spending extra time with their friends. I have a niece who is 13 and I'm sure she would gladly have a little more free reign to plan her own free time during the holidays, if only my brother-in-law would let her out of her bedroom ;) :rotfl:

I'm sure your daughters absolutely adore all the things you've planned for them in the past, and just like those things, spending time with their friends will currently be a novelty. When you're feeling up to doing something, they'll be just as delighted to do that, I'm sure. They sound like lovely girls anyway, looking after you and helping out, and I'm sure that they'll appreciate your efforts all the more when you're rested, more healed and ready for fun. No guilt please, you've just been hit by a 10 ton truck, remember?

iPad - if you want to use it out in the garden, you'll be amazed at how much of it you can see just by turning up the brightness control to the max. It will use the battery quicker, but unless you're planning on sitting in the garden for 8 hours straight, it probably won't be an issue. Just remember to turn it back down when you're indoors, or you'll get eye strain! I usually remember after I've been reading my e-book for half an hour in the dark and have a splitting headache! :rotfl:

I hope that you're not trying to overdo things. Try to take it easy for a few more weeks and you'll feel the benefit so much sooner.
  • I have decided that I am in serious need of someones lost lb's.

    Pick me, Pick me :D:j!

Seriously though, I know what you mean about being underweight getting you down just as much as being overweight. Not from personal experience you understand, but from people I know :rotfl:. You need to eat little and often to stretch your stomach again Xx

  • Ive been anorexic and I have been what I consider a blimp too. However when your bones hurt your skin is the time to worry. Enjoy chocolate and keep smiling, you are recuperating and all your calories are needed for that! xx I know, the waif look isnt for us mothers!!
    Trying to shift that debt!

  • Thankyou all for the offers of your lb's, I will gratiously accept every single one of them !! To report, I have eaten my first huuuuuuge dinner this evening , Mr Pinots yummy LKinguine, that he rusteld up after walking in from an 18 hour day, he mangaged to go shopping. An hour later he was fast asleep in bed, and I had a very full stomach !! :D

The girls have helped me with lots of housework, I couldnt look at it any longer, I think they secretly enjoyed it !! Accept for DD1 who possibly wasnt quite so enthusiastic after I found mountainous clothes on the bedroom floor and in amongst them a festering apple that I had asked her to remove at least a dozen times over the last week !!! Anyway the house smeels lvoely and clean and is gleaming and super shiney, so I can rest and stop nagging now ! ;)

Thankyou for your wonderful advice GB and Mr B , I will be very careful. I really dont want to do anything to put me back where I was again, ever if I can help it !

Alice, thats strange that you received your letter today as well isnt it ? They must have a set day each month when they make these decisions ! I hope you arent worrying over it too though, please dont, if you are. I will try and drop in over on your diary tomorrow.

Right now, I am off to the land of nod.

    Night all xxx

I am glad you are feeling better and sounding quite upbeat. Keep eating good food and taking it easy. I lost 6lb last week, nobody has claimed them, so you can have them!

I've been out of the loop for a couple of days and need to catch up, not to mention updating my own diary, but all the other diaries are more interesting than mine.
