Pin him down ( it was Piqs suggestion to strip him naked !:rotfl:) then we were going to spray him with Sun In to make his hair turn ginger so that he could play the leading man who apparently is ginger in the book.

Get yourself to Asda so as not to be left out ! :D

Totally agree with you, BUT there is some good news, I have justspoken to my sister and she doesnt think he is ginger in the book and she is on book number 2 , so knows much mroe than I do !! She thinks I have imagined the whole ginger thing, so luckily for Channing it doesnt look like the Sun In will be needed after all. !! Whoop Whoop !!!

Mr Pinot will have had 18 days off since the 1st January and the 31st July . This isnt normal............................. the average person assuming they had their weekends would have had 56 days off of work plus they would be owed holidays, lets say somewhere between 3 and 6 weeks dependant on who you work for . For a fair amount of that time he has either not been in the country or been in the UK but elsewhere, certainly not at home. When he does make it home in the evening after working he has generally done a 16 hour day, needs to then eat and sleep before doing it all over again the following day. On the odd days he has had off they have rarely been at weekends, therefore the children have been at school. On those days he catches up with paperwork, has had varying hospital appointments, has had to help me out on various occasions when I have not been too good. This all obviously takes it toll on him and on me ( I'm not complaining though and neither is he ) but I still run a business, look after two children who are busy little bees, have my own parents who have been poorly on and off, a home to run etc etc etc and all the recent disasters to contend with me.By him not being around obviously puts more pressure on me to hold everything together. Please dont get me wrong I'm so not complaining ......this is our life, this is what we do and there are many many people in much worse situations so we are certainly not feeling sorry for ourselves ( a bit tired maybe but thats it !) ........ ............but

.....why do certain family members think its ok to call Mr Pinot up today whilst he is working ,complaining that we are rejecting them , not calling them enough, spending enough time with them or driving one and half hours each way to see them as much as they think we should be doing . The particular person who is always on holiday and retired apparently needs to go for a Pamper Day today with another family member who is "oh so good to her" , to get over the stress of us causing her so much upset by not visiting or keeping in touch as regularly as we should. !!

I'm sorry are we really in the wrong here ??!!

Honest answers very much appreciated please xxx :(

  • no hun, i don't think you're in the wrong and you should tell them to eff off (maybe more politely if so wish although i think the eff word is rather more effective ;) ) . And if they want to see you they can come to you! Some people unfortunately think the world revolves around them and don't give two hoots about what anyone else is going through.

And i think you have enough to worry about without stressing yourself over busybody's with nothing better to do than upset the apple cart!

Thankyou !! I have picked the phone up so many times this morning with the eff word on the tip of my tongue, and written an email attaching our whole years calender, didnt send it.Last time I tried to explain very politely our situation I was accused of sending an email version of a poison pen letter !!! :rotfl:.Thats really not me at all ! I worry they are putting Mr Pinot under more pressure than he is already under. The only problem with them coming to us, is that he isnt here and for many years I had them on my own when the children were smaller, but its got harder and harder and I have enough going on and am so busy with everything else, that I dont have the time to sit on my bum on a Sunday and entertain them on my own. Run out of conversation after about an hour as they are hard going, have no interest in us or the children and just talk at us and not to us. I think they need to , after 15 years of us doing this for a living have accepted we dont work usual hours, and accept that we will of course see them or invite them down as and when we have the time. We need time together as a family occasionally as well and I admit to being quite possesive of that precious and rare time. Oh well, maybe I will tell Mr Pinot to make the Eff word phone call later !!!! He was suprisingly calm when he received the original call, but thats him all over, I will rant for the both of us !! xx:rotfl:

  • I think us women do the ranting thing a whole lot better though ;) DH is the same. He won't get annoyed about anything really. But then i get annoyed about the fact that he's not annoyed about the annoying situation so get doubly stressed :D he swears i will have a heart attack by the time i'm 40 with my stressing that i do :o lol x

No, you're not in the wrong at all. Mother in law does it to Mr Minx - if he has a meeting in town in the afternoon he'll often drive in at the start of his lunch break so he can go and see her for half an hour and she gets REALLY shirty when he has to leave to go to his meeting. She's also annoyed with one of his older brothers because he and his wife have got their first child-free week in 18 years coming up and they've decided to go and have a nice holiday together on their own rather than driving the whole length of the country to come and visit her. Her catchphrase at the moment is 'I always come last in this family' - though hopefully 50 Shades is taking her mind off it :p (No phone calls yet!)

Most definitely not in the wrong lovely. They are just very selfish people who do not understand how demanding they are being. Keep being you and try not to let it get you down too much.
