Well today has brought me some more surprises, not quite as shocking as yesterdays by any stretch of the imagination !

Mr Pinot set off early this morning on his travels, bike in the back of the car and Mankini lovingly packed in his overnight bag ready to strut his stuff in Paris over the weekend !!

As Ive mentioned a few times on here, I often open the door to the posty to receive a parcel addressed to me that Mr Pinot has lovingly treated me to - New headlights for the car, brackets to hold said headlights in place - all such thoughtful and romantic gifts .Today was no exception, on seeing the Parcel Force van pull up this morning, I sent DD2 to answer the door to find I was once again the proud recipient of a parcel addressed to me. Slightly bemused as I hadnt ordered anything and my birthday was of course last week, I opened it very excited. Was it the Links of London bracelet I have set my heart on for one day in the debt free distant future ??

No............. today Mr Pinot has surprised me with a Universal Vent Holder , No Drilling, No Sticking, No Suction Mount ! A Rotating Functional Air Vent Clip it proudly boasts !!

Did I ask for one ? No
Do I need one ? I dont think so !!

What the hell is it for ? - I have no blinking idea !!:o

Anyway, I lovingly text Mr Pinot to thank him profusely for the kind gift "The Universal Vent Holder is muchly appreciated ! Thankyou so much, it is nearly as pretty as the Links of London bracelet !" To which his response was a big smily face and a thumbs up sign, so he is obviously very proud of himself !! I though, am still trying to work out exactly what I need said item for !! ;)

So onwards and upwards from there, thankyou all for your replies last night ( Kerri you are hilarious !) You all made me laugh so much, I am so lucky to have such a great bunch reading this silly diary !! :rotfl:

Mr B - You sounds so very fed up, I have nipped over to your diary quickly this morning to see what you have been up to . :(

NRA - The Meeting with the Bank Manager went well thankyou ! I was having a slight panic after receiving a "Call me urgently, we need to discuss your account " message. Anyway she has taken over the Business Account and wanted to introduce herself and do the yearly review. There is a small overdraft on the business, slowly going down :D but I havent included that in my signature as it belongs to the business , so not technically ours and I dont think my nerves could stand an even higher signature ! But all went well, she seemed pleased with the figures and direction everything is heading, so I left a happy lady !

I hope you managed to get your baking done madam and that you rest up at the weekend if you can !

I have been ironing since 2 o clock, just stopped now for a break and also done mountains of washing. I was going to try and cut the grass this afternoon, but dont think my back will allow that today. DD1 is off out with friends and DD2 has a friend to play, equally as bonkers as she is, so they are having fun !

Planning an ebay night with DD2 this evening, while watching The Voice, but knowing my track record with ebay, it may be put off for another day !

Oh, and we got paid yesterday, some of the money we are owed, so I can now pay the mortgage this month ! Also paid another £300 off of the tax bill and updated my signature ! :j

Hope you have all had or are having a lovely Saturday ! x

  • Oh Mrs P, you've certainly made me smile, which has been a little hard this last couple of days (full story on my diary). :D It also reminded me of when DS2 was about 18 months old and couldn't bear to have a soiled nappy. Well, long story short, we went in to get him one morning and he had thrown his soiled nappy through his bedroom window and onto the parapet above the front door. We didn't have time to do anything about it as we needed to get to work. Imagine our horror when we got home that night to find the window cleaner had been and he'd actually removed the nappy!:eek: We were extremely embarrassed when he came to collect his money, so much so that we paid him double. Fortunately he saw the funny side of it. :rotfl::rotfl:

A universal vent holder!!!!:j You lucky girl! I haven't got one, well, I don't think I've got one. Just like you, not a clue!

Mr P, must feel you need one though, what size is it, could you wear it on a cord round your neck like a Tiffany's necklace?

I wish someone would come round and do an e*by evening with me. I hate it so much I actually forget to do it!

Your right, I am sooo lucky !! :T

I think you have hit upon an idea there, I will get one of the girls to find me a piece of ribbon and will greet Mr Pinot upon his return with the Universal Cupholder dangling from my neck a la Tiffany !

We only managed to list one ebay item. DD2s friend stayed overnight and we were all far distracted by the curry ( not in the budget, so need slapped wrists for that one :o, Mrs Happy perhaps I could borrow your stilletto clad foot for a kick up the posterior) The Voice and a carton of Apple Juice, well for them, mine was a Pinot, but only one small glass I add :D

Nothing much to report here today other than it has been a NSD, so thats good ! :j

Been tackling yet more ironing, managed to cut the grass when the sun was shining, collected DD1 from a friends and took DD2 to the stables.

I have been feeling really guilty, she loves her lessons so much, but they arent cheap ! She is allowed two lessons a month within the budget, but as we have had trouble getting money in,she hasnt been able to have a lesson yet this month. Thankfully after some cash arriving on Fri I was lucky enough to get a lesson for 2pm today ! She was over the moon. The only trouble was, her riding hat is apparently "squashing hers brains" as its too small and her back brace is too short, so looks like some major spends coming our way ! She rode beautfiully though on Bob and as a surprise for her my parents arrived to watch her, which was lovely :D.

DD1 had to stay home and do her homework, which she has just finished finally. I have given her the chore of sorting the recycling, as she has been out and about having fun all weekend, so I think she needs a chore or two !!

Oh and we now have two items on ebay ! Maybe I will get some more on this evening. I'm thinking f selling some of DD2s old riding hats which have been barely worn. Does anybody reading have any experience of whether they are worth trying to sell please ?

Gammon for tea tonight, then hopefully a chilled out evening before an early night for the girls ready for school tomorrow xx

I hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday and for those that got the sunshine today, I hope you enjoyed it ! x

    Hello all :D

Gosh Mrs PG - you always seem to get loads done and never seem to stop :) Hopefully your plans for a chilled out evening will come off :)

Don't worry about the curry - i firmly believe we all need little treats to keep us going otherwise we may well do a big splurge  :rotfl:

And of course :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: at the mankini story - i certainly laughed enough at my fellas padded shorts :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: sadly he doesn't have a mankini and he's not reported any clothing malfunctions whilst cycling. Mind you i'd best not laugh too much as a bike is on my wish list - only possible once i'm debt free i'm afraid as i too want an expensive foldable one :D and i'm pretty sure i'll be wearing some of those padded shorts for comfort too :)

The curry was lovely, and the leftovers were even better heated up for lunch ! Yum ! :rotfl:

The evening wasnt as chilled out as I had hoped, but thats another story I'm afraid ! Ended up juggling a thousand things this evening and getting rather stressed out by it all. Shame really as I have been pretty calm of late ! Ho hum !

Mr Pinot , has called to say that rather than staying in Paris this evening, he is going to drive as far as Calais when he finish work later, so he is a little closer to home when he wakes in the morning. He has promised DD2 he will try and collect her from school tomorrow, so she has gone to bed very happy ! She did give him a warning that he wasnt to come and meet her on his bike though ! :rotfl:

Off to bed now, night all xx
