    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all

    Just catching up

I am afraid I find it hard to stay off the vino..so its either an expensive bottle from my light bulb flickering days (the idea being that I drink less as its so good I savour it rather than knocking it back like squash!;)) ..or a so-so bottle that these days has to be less than £5..and if its on offer so much the better. I have asked OH to bring some wine and cheese back..so heres hoping too..;)

Oh, I can SO sympathise re the dance kit. I remember having to buy a load of stuff when I first started this diary...(that was bad enough, it was £70 from memory) and I was then so cross when OH and DD2 left some of it in the hall after class...but my particular bug bear is school sweatshirts...DD2 just leaves them anywhere..She only has 2 so there is not that much room for losing them! (I basically refuse to buy more than that!) Sometimes they come home, sometimes not so I am rifling through the Lost Property box on a regular basis. However I also have to be mature:rotfl: and remember that she's only 8 and dyslexic to boot (forgetting things when there s a lot to remember is quite common apparently) so don't think logistics will ever be her strong point!

Apparently they are just fine in the camper..its very sunny there (although they are very high up so they can catch the last snow) and the van does have heaters so they have used them a couple of times...but overall the plan is very MSE...(and we are hardening the next generation up!!) you just put on another layer rather than putting the gas heating on;)

Hope you're having a lovely day.

Don't panic I'm back :D I've just caught up on your diary, and wow what I have missed!!! Chickens, pelvic floor exercises, car maintenance, school shoes, dance classes, plenty of vino, hedgehogs and random sleeping positions! I'm one of those sleepers that if I get twitchy legs has to put their foot on something ultra cold to deflate the muscles back to normal size again, inherited from my Grandad.

You have inspired me today though Mrs P, I've got my car service light flashing for the past 1000 miles eep! I did buy my car on credit to start with by the way (she's not 3 yet), but when I was made redundant I used the redundancy to pay it off in full, mostly because I feared credit rejection and having to give her back. So she's all mine :D I've called my Dad and asked if he knows how to do an oil fiter, he does :) So next weekend, having ordered £26 of parts, I'm going to service my car myself. My mechanic would have charged me £150!!!!

I shall keep up with your diary from now on, it takes ages when you get out of sync. I've sat here for 3hrs catching up on yours :) xx

Flying in and out again now.

DFW sorry you have been feeling so rough, lets hope the meds kick in soon ! I am rattling with all of mine, but they arent really working. I will have to numb the pain with Pinot, so much for giving up due to the Wine Waist !!

Kerri, you are good servicing the car yourself ! Good Luck with that, let us know how you get on !

NRA, have the children arrived yet ??!!!! I'm off to a party soon and was hoping they would have got to you in time for dinner !! :rotfl:

Now I must go and look through my extensive wardrobe for an outfit to wear . Hmmm black top and black jeans, black top and black jeans, or the black top and black jeans !! Can you all help me decide ?!!

Mr Pinot currently hurtling along the M40 at a rate of knots to get to the party before everyone else goes home !!

I will check in with you all tomorrow. Have a lovely evening xx
