OMG, I have skim read just a couple of diaries, New Leaf and Happy Now, and they are moving at such a rate of knots, I need to send my children back to school NOW, knock back all and any work offered to me for the forseeable future and just read and read and read !!!
I havent actually posted anywhere for the past few days I dont think, but it will take me forever and a day to catchup , but I will !!:o
But....despite my lack of diary writing, Mr Pinot and I think we may have hit upon an idea to raise some more cash to get rid of this debt mountain a little quicker, and save our sanity !!
The story is : -
Just over a year ago, I spotted a picture on a fairly well known website that I just love ( I admire from afar as I cant afford to buy anything !) . Mr Pinot was away at the time, so I sent him the links, with lots of pleading, "I really love this picture soooo much, but I know its really expensive , but I need you to know how much I like it and how lovely it would look in our house, and dont forget how much I really love you !! " You know that pleading , slightly winey , but not irritating voiceI'm sure many of us are guilty of using at times !
Well, his response was a short sharp, "yep, thats nice but I could make it !!"
Something yet to come up in my diary as yet, is that Mr Pinot is most certainly a jack of all trades, but he missed his vocation in life and should have been a carpenter. I think I mentioned certain skills in the bedroom dept :rotfl:, on someones diary. Kerris maybe ?!! He made the most amazing bed for us a few years back, as our budget wouldnt stretch to the one we had spotted in the shop.He took measurements, photos etc and made an exact replica, only nicer and cheaper ! Anyway , as usual I digress !! Getting back to the picture ! It is selling for £320.00 online and regularly sells out. Mr Pinot decided his mission was that he would make this particular picture for me for my birthday this year !!
Anyway......... he has, a carbon copy, now proudly hung in the kitchen and I am so thrilled I cant explain !! The grand hanging ceremony was at 1am this morning, having walked in from a concert with the girls and their friends !! :T I love it so much and I'm so proud !! Its not my birthday yet, but he is away so had to get it made before he left he said !
The master plan now ,is that if we can somehow find the time , we can set up a little business on the side selling these pictures . There is someone on ebay selling something similar ish for about £75 a time, but they arent as good a quality ...in my humble opinion. :cool:Having compared the one Mr Pinot has made for me and the one on the website I originally saw it on we could have hit on an idea to bring in some extra cash ! So, we are now going to work on a masterplan. If Mr Pinot makes the frames, I am reasonably handy with a paint brush if he hasnt the time and even if we sold one or two a month and nothing more, it would bring in some extra cash to throw at the debts !
Oh and going off on a tangent again..........the Lemon Drizzle Cake was gorgeous and went down a treat. I added an extra lemon to Mrs Fluffies recipe as we like a bit of extra zing, but I am feeling quite the domestic goddess today !
Sorry for not posting or answering you all personally, but as I think with many of us its been a busy few days, but I hope you are all ok and I look forward to catching up properly with you all soon xxxx
And before I go ..........someone said to me the other day via pm that they dont feel they can post on the diary, (although they do read), as they felt we were such a merry little band of people that they couldnt join in. If thats the case for anyone who may be reading , please dont feel that at all. I would love to hear from each and every one of you, as I'm sure all of my lovely MSE friends would. Everyones experiences and advice make this journey so much easier and the advice offered is invaluable. As my signature tells, I am in this for the long haul, so your company is so very welcome, as are the laughs along the way which we most definitely need at times !! xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Morning
Pleased for you with the picture and fingers crossed on the money saving venture.
Two years ago today since I applied for my DMP. Am hoping to finish a little early so could be considered half way through now (ever the optimist). Such a good feeling to have a significant amount of the way behind me. Not there yet by any means, still have a number charging interest and I don't think that will get better but a lot better than the alternative. One way or another 2014 will spell freedom for me.
Have a good day all.

A good idea on making the pictures, make a few and see how well they sell. A bit of backseat driving coming up....Make sure you cost out every penny it takes to make each one and how much time it took. Then you will know exactly where you should be pitching them in price and how many you can realistically make in a given timescale.
I echo your comment about posting on the diary, yes, there is a merry bunch of renegades on here. All experiences and advice helped, I personally, need all the help and advice I can get. Please join in.

As you say Mrs P it's great to have somewhere we can all vent or rant or just have a really good laugh once in a while.
There are a lot of us in this for the long haul and knowing that other people understand how you are feeling, weather its the down when money is tight before the end of the month or the joy because we got some whoopsied meat at a real bargain price is so worth it.
We may seem a bit wierd (some of us are :rotfl:) but that shouldn't put people off, just come join the merry go round, where we stop nobody knows.....
Ok think I am going off on a tangent now so time to do dinner, catch up later
