I know where he's coming from but I would caution against posting such 'advice' on any forum.
UPDATE: In response to my e mail request, MSE moderators or board guides appear to have removed KISKs post, and mine that quoted chunks of it warning people of the dangers of what he posted.
Thanks to whoever that was.

I might be a bit late on this one. You should NEVER get any type of shock off either a sink or bath. There is something WRONG if you do.
I am an electrical engineer and know how this stuff works.
Electricity always takes the easiest path to either earth or to complete its circuit. If the bath is earthed then you would NEVER get a shock off it as earthing it would create a very easy path to earth.
Switch off at the mains and get this cowboy back to fix it.
As a side note. The reason you might not get a full shock from this is as follows. Are you wearing shoes? Do they have a rubber sole? Is there a mat under your feet? Any of these can partially insulate you from getting a full 240v shock.0 -
 I can't believe this post is still going, the OP has had the problem sorted out, we are now waiting for Wanty to start a new post so that we can start over.:D0
