Just realised I read that all wrong- sorry!
Rising I just want to second your comment!
Our business account in work is with Barcs and the change was a bit drastic! It took me ages to even work out how to click onto the link to go into the right account, let alone to try and pay someone!
Glad it's not just me ...... it took me about 1/2 an hour to figure out how to rename the pot & I really don't like the stupid box that pops up when you do a transfer .... wt* is that all about? - really, really don't like it!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ohhhh BTW (JG's going to wish she'd not said the thread was quiet:rotfl:) - what's with the price of fuel?
I log the price/litre on my spreadsheet and the first tank this month (3rd) was 133.9p which had jumped to 135.7p (22nd) and was a whopping 139.9p today:( - that's 4p in the last week alone:eek:
Is it jumping in price where you are too?Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I HATE MSE!!! Everything I write gets deleted!!!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240

Anyway, I was trying to write (this is my 8th attempt) that the prices are going up because of the strike. Some petrol stations are running dry due to panic buying. DH uses £70 a week in petrol... maybe no work next weekWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Okay, so today I got some charity shop bargains
£9.30 for 31 items for Eliza in one shop. £3 for 4 items in another… and 2 shirts for DH for £1 each!!
I also finally bought myself a sewing machine (normally £160, I found one for £90!) can't wait to try it out
Today Eliza got her first Rattle, and after 3 attempts she already knows to open her fingers and then close them around the handle… then rattle it
Two days ago she pulled herself up to standing just holding my hands (TWICE!)!!
She copies the noises of words (not the actual words)… and ‘talks’ all the time
And she fits 3-6m clothing comfortably already, so will be in 6-9m before I know it!
I am one proud mummy, yet also sad because my baby just won’t stay a baby!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Where is everyone???
Is anyone else having issues with MSE?? The other day whenever I hit backspace it deleted my whole text. And everytime I come onto MSE my computer freezes!!
Anyway, today I got more charity shop bargains, 10 items for Eliza at 25p each and DS got some trousers for 50p!
I am viewing a house tomorrow, and I have a Mortgage Advisor coming Sunday. So today I had to get together loads of paperwork for that (Nerve Wreaking!!)
DH had trouble getting petrol today, he was at work running on fumes and everywhere was dry! At lunchtime he managed to get £20, but that wasn't enough to get us to the house viewing and back... lucky he found a second petrol station this afternoon...!
I'm just spending the evening on my spreadsheets (which are a bit of a mess after just being allowed to run this month) so a new month... a tidy up and lets see what it brings
Sam - Are you around still? How is the savings going?
Queen - Are things looking up yet? How are the children?
SOT - How's the dog?
Rising - How are all the pots going?
Mort - Any more spending where there shouldn't be?
Li - Hope the pregnancy is going well
Lea - i hope things are looking up a bit now, and you're struggling less xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

.......Some petrol stations are running dry due to panic buying
Been good this week despite two retirement drinking sessions and a surprise trip to A&E with one of the grand children this evening followed by a trip to McDs, 4 adults and one child meal all on me.
Got the dog at the vets tomorrow for a check up, he has problems with his legs.
Several of our local petrol stations are dry, all because the ConDems fancied a bit of union bashing, the ballot was for a strike but there was no date mentioned and ACAS are in the mix as well. Now I see some poor woman has been burnt because she was following "government" advice but did not know how to handle fuel.
Might be my turn to queue tomorrow, less than a quarter of a tank left:(Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

DH said its all caused by the need to divert attention from the pasty tax...
What a joke that is...
I hope you get petrol tomorrow, we've enough until Friday, then we'll need more as I have to go to heathrow to collect a friend for eliza's christening. We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Not too badHave transferred amounts to them yesterday as finally been paid (phew!).
Apart from the fuel & groceries one as it's going to take me ages to try to get in advance on these at this rate..... Need a plan - any ideas?
Loving all the CS bargains JG- how was the house viewing? to the fuel problems. What worries me about a possible strike is that Dinky only takes 35 litres - great normally but it only lasts me around 10 days so it's not as though I can just fill up a big 60 L tank and get it to last a bit longer.:(
Bit down today (actually that's a bit of an understatement) .... have been up since 4 and the day seems like it's just looming ahead of me with nothing to fill it ...... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=52149341&postcount=11 .
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend - I'll try to "have words with myself" and sort myself out......Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi JG - yep I am all back up and running now! How was your house viewing today?
I have actually been in quite a good mood the last couple of days!
I also got paid yesterday - so I have the weekend to teak my spreadsheets and spending diaries and pots for the next month!
I bought some new bedding yesterday as a treat! After the awful month I have just had, I had been looking for some nice new bedding for a couple of weeks now, but couldnt find anything that I liked! So yesterday this set just caught my eye while I was trying to hunt down the sugar and it was 1/3 off! So I got a double for £18.50 odd.... Bargain! AND I used my nectar points to pay for it - so technically it was free!! Yippee! I do like this MSE way of living - it gives you such a more fulfilled buzz than the dark old days of "just stick it on a card!"
Sainsburys had a good offer on my toothpaste - so I stocked up on that - so I have now got about a 12 month stock pile!
Mort - I hope your grand child is alright now? This petrol panic is a disgrace - I honestly believe that it was a government/fuel company ploy to hike the prices up and then dupe is all into panic buying it! I havent been yet - still got half a tank so will last me a good week or so!
Hope everyone else is well?
Right I had better go, before the word gets out and Sainsburys comes knocking at my door for my toothpaste stockpile! lol0
