  • hi there, who did you address the letter to for this, thanks
    Hi there.

I just thought to let you know what has been happened after I read this forum but I dont want to reply until I get what I should have.

I sent out the dvds to turnintocash between christmas and new year, then they have stated that they have recieved the parcel around Jan time I think. I gave them a call to find out what is going on with the dvds etc, and they said that they have struggling with backlog of parcels over xmas and will sort it out also said will send out the cheque next week - which never has turned up after a phone call I made on 16th Jan and tried again few times they are ringing out.

So I had called Consumer Direct for their advice and I wrote a formal letter to them to explain that they are in breach of contract by not sending us a cheque within 7 days and find out what has going on with dvds and wanted to know where is my money? By recorded signed for last monday, then recieved £78 cheque yesterday!! Whoo hoo. I suggest you do the same for this one.
  • I still haven't even received the email informaing me that they've gone into liquidation, even though they have £70+ of my stuff.

I still haven't even received the email informaing me that they've gone into liquidation, even though they have £70+ of my stuff.

I suggest you write to Dallas Campbell LLL ( Address further back in thread) and let them know of your interest - recorded delivery of course.

I contacted the above, and received a letter from them which included an in depth report on the liqidation etc. They want me to fill in a 'Proof of Debt' form relating to my interest in the proceeds of the liquidation. I'm reluctant to do so, since I don't agree or accept that they have the right to sell my goods on. They were never accepted by Turn Into Cash Limited, and consequently I was never paid a penny. I believe the CDs/DVDs I sent to TIC remain my property and should be returned. Dallas Campbell claim they can't do this as they are unable to identify my stock? However, I have a full list including barcodes, and do not think it unreasonable to have my stock returned to me. Basically the liquidators appear intent on just selling everything off and be done with it. If people are just going to sit back and let that happen - it will happen.

Interestingly it appears Robert Fox the former owner of TIC wants to buy back the stock and office equipment and has submitted various offers. Not sure what this means or how it may affect myself and others owed money?

Anyway, I'm not sure about my next move, but any useful positive advice would be greatly appreciated and would no doubt be useful to many others in a similar position with TIC.

I fear it is highly unlikely that any of us are going to see are goods or any money - but I'm not prepared to give up just yet.
  • I'm very annoyed reading this, just tried e-mailing TIC and got my e-mail bounced back ... never got an e-mail saying they had gone bust.

I wish I'd sold my CDs and DVDs at a car boot sale, I would have got more if I did.

Does anyone have any further news on the liquidation of this company(Turn Into Cash Limited)? They want me to sign a claim/proof of debt form and have it sent to them by the 12th August 2012.

However, I'm reluctant to do so, as I believe that this company(Campbell Dallas) would be acting illegally under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act if they sell my items on. I've already written to them to tell them that my goods must not be sold on but they've just ignored that and sent me this claim/proof of debt form instead. This company based in Scotland are behaving in an absolutely disgraceful manner by not at least giving people a chance to re-claim THEIR goods.I really could do with some legal assistance on this matter, but can't afford it at the moment.

I actually thought the MSE site would prove useful for legal advice and assistance but so far it has been utterly useless in this regard. I've been checking back here for weeks - but it all seems to have been completely forgotten about.

Any ideas or legal advice on what my next move should be would be greatly appreciated and no doubt helpful to others in a similar predicament?

I sent them a parcel in January and haven't even heard they have gone into liquidation...I haven't been contacted at all by the liquidators. However...after reading this, I phoned Campbell Dallas. Kirsty is apparently dealing with the comany...so I got put through to her phone and left her a message to contact me. By late afternoon I had heard nothing from this Kirsty...so I rang back...she was on the phone...so the receptionist said she would tell her again that I have rang...again.
    Next day...still nothing!
Bad, bad service...I will try again today!!! anyone else not been notified of the liquidation by this Campbell Dallas company???
