O/S Daily Thread Weds 2nd Nov

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Wed 2nd Nov. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all.. Hope I did that right... anyway Im sat here surrounded by court papers....
Thought it best I start on my closing statements/arguments for the court case on 10th November.
Busy day ahead.. I have to call in at the office.. pop to Sainsburys and get some ferret food and DD1 is coming home from Cyprus today with my mum and dad.
Feels a little chilly here today so log burner lit already, if only to stop DD1 moaning about the cold :j
Hugs to those that need it and if I appear again from under this pile of papers I'll catch up later

Morning!
I am always awake between 3am - 5am and it's getting frustrating... I had 2 naps yesterday! I never nap!
Today I have the bread machine on, and I have sorted the shopping list (which was just under budget this week until I realised Mr. T had upped the price of my drink - the only thing that doesn't make me poorly to drink and of which I drink a lot of!!!! so looks like i'm going over again this week on the food shop!)
Yesterday I was poorly and I have no idea what I did, I think I did something! My Low BP is definatly becomming an issue again, but I wonder if the babies size is causing it, because it feels like a swallowed a melon as my belly is getting harder now! I can't do up my shoes!
Today I hope to wrap some gifts, not many as sitting upright makes the Low BP worse, but if I do a few a day i'll have them done in no time
I have to do the school run this morning (I don't normally do mornings - so egggghhhhh)!
Hope you all have a wonderful day x

Just caught up on yesterday's thread... So many well-wishes I got quite emotional!
mioliere, bargainbird and redruby I have been to the Dr's many times, I have pressure stockings and apart from that there is nothing they can do about Low BP, I had it really bad up until 4 months pregnant, then it became manageable with little tips and tricks I had learned (I have a chair in the kitchen so I can cook, with help!). But the Dr just says to be very grateful, as low BP means I am unlikely to suffer high BP which is very dangerous for me and baby! I just have to be very careful not to actually faint. So I have been pretty much useless for the last 7 months as Low BP means no standing still, or for long periods, so can hardly do anything around the house and my DH has been a saint, while I sit or lay around he works FT and looks after us all... then takes me for walks on his arm, as walking helps Low BP, but he doesn't want me out and about to much on my own!
Bitsy Beans my MW is useless... If I try and contact her it takes her a week or more to get back to me, and then I get blown off constantly. It's so frustrating as there is no one else to see!!! So I upset her back by running to the Dr instead
Anyway, I think I will be going back to see the Dr soon, just to make sure nothing bad is causing the Low BP to bother me again. Thank you for all your responses, as I said I was very touched with the concern.
I am feeling a tiny bit better today, only came over funny once this morning, so i'm definatly going to take it easy

Good morning everyone.
Brighteyes, so sorry to hear about your Grandad, am thinking of you x
Redruby, hope you feel better soon x
JG, hope you get the chance to rest for a while once you have finished the school run.
Dd's appointment went well. Dermatologist said that as there has been hair growth (although it does still fall out) that it is very encouraging and he is quite confident that it will come back normally. Can't rule out another episode happening at a later date. They don't know why it has happened, she says she isn't stressed (she is the most easy going of my 3), her 2 blood tests were normal.
Going to take the dog for a walk in a few minutes. Packed lunches are done. Washing is on the airer. Tea tonight is pork escalopes with potatoes and veg.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.Jan GC £298.62/£300 Feb £298.01/£300 March £331.06/£300 April £69.96/£300
