Morning All
Just thought I'd pop in, still in use up and clean up mode, but leaving the cleaning until Thurs/Fri when we are due for some rain, on it's way to the UK according to the TV last night. Forecast is looking better for next Tues/Weds so I can get washed up before we depart next Thursday. Mount Ironing still to be tackled.
Went out last night, but it was very quiet, think most folks had gone out for Halloween. Came home early.
Teapot The chicken will be fine, it is in the fridge. Hope DH is improved this morning, and you got some rest.
Betheebee Hope you go on OK at the hospital - Happy Anniversary :bdaycake:
Jackie-0 - hope your DD gets rid of the moths soon.

Morning all
Looks like a nice day out there although chilly this morning. Yesterday it was so mild and as I had the wrong clothes on I was boiling. Had a really wasted day yesterday, seems to be the story of my life at the mo.
Beth Happy Anniversary
JulieG not good take it easy
Brighteyes sorry for your loss
Big hugs to anyone else who needs one.
I'm off this morning to do Mum's cleaning, then a tidy round here. DS is back at school today. Then I've got work tonight so I suppose I should get some sleep. No news on the job front here but I keep looking. Off to hang the washing out.
Have a good day all

juliegeorgina your oh does sound wonderful
beth happy anniversary!
Morning OSers. OH has gone to work as usual with the typical "i'll go the doctors another time" which i don't like- my dad ended up in hospital and permanently damaged his lungs doing that! My dad has another chest infection but it's bronchitis this time so not quite such a worry.
I have so much to do it's beginning to get a bit overwhelming, I don't know where to startCleaning? Dissertation? Course work? Job? The cleaning to be done is quite mammoth, a whole day job- a whole day that I don't have! ARGGG

Morning all,
Will be a positive poster today!! DS1 up at the crack of dawn - BUT it has meant that I've had two hours reading a good book. OH has a migraine as well as a chest infection, but it means he won't be rushing back to work until he is properly better. Dinner tonight is Lasagne from freezer. Am going to be going through the house today and making a list of all the jobs that need doing. Then I'm going to start tackling them, so at Christmas I'm not looking around at a dumpsite.
School Christmas fair in a month, so need to get galvanised on that I think. That said I need to get a letter out to the parents reminding them of various dates today - secretary of PTA doesn't get a chance to rest! Foggy outside, but hopefully it will clear to bring some lovely sunshine. Beds to strip and wash - did notice a 15tog duvet in Pound stretcher.........
JulieG - hope you're taking it easy.
JackieO - had this in Cyprus - along with cockroches and ants. Best thing I found was to keep everything from packets in storage jars, wipe around the rim of jars daily after use and clean the cupboards weekly. (This also ensures you use everything up as its a faff!!!) Then I put cotton wool balls with lavender essential oil in each corner. Read somewhere (probably on MSE!) that this helps keep ants away. The blighters were mostly looking for water.
Sorry to everyone else, but memory is terrible. Hugs to those in need, specially NPM xxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Morning everyone
Dry and clear here this morning, but chilly. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.
Dinner last night was quickies as DS1 went to rugby training. Remembered to get chicken out of the freezer to defrost overnight so tonight we will be having roast chicken, mash, veg and gravy. Will be stripping all the meat off the chicken carcass and using bones to make stock, think I might make some soup. Am keeping a tight rein on the food spending and did buy some tomatoes yesterday - but haven't bought tomatoes for months as we've been eating home grown ones, but they have now all gone. I will need to buy some more sandwich meats before the end of the week but nothing else. DS2 informed me at 6pm last night what ingredients he needs to take today for cooking- fortunately because of the OS it was all bits I have at home anyway - so hoping they'll be edible/some left when he comes in tonight!:)
Need to post a parcel today that I sold on ebay too. Only working this morning, I finish at 12.30pm not back then until Monday. Somehow seem to have grown a dirty washing mountain - have a load in WM on at the moment, washing basket still won't shut - don't know how that has happened as did a load Sunday night and hung out and got dry on Monday, think it must be breeding!! Work was very busy yesterday as suspected but it does make the day go quicker. Today I think will be less busy.
Need to go and get ready for work.
Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

Morning All
A bit grey here today, I hope it brightens up later because I have washing to put out.
Happy Anniversary Beth and DHI hope that the hospital appointment goes well and that you tell the consultant just how bad things were x
JulieG..... I suffer from low blood pressure and was told by the cardiologist to increase my salt intake.
I have to go to get some milk and eggs later because I won't be able to go shopping tomorrow because I have a hospital appointment at 11am. I hate shopping on a Friday.
For all of you Chook keepers
Hens stop laying in the winter because of light - farmers have electric lights in their sheds for this reason
It could also be because they need more calcium in their diet or it could be caused by stress and redmite infestation which can cause hens to stop laying too.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning all, not in work today due to yesterday's dramas.
donny-gal Thanks - chook is cooking now and I'll just eat him cold for the next couple of days for some quick dinners between afternoon/evening visiting.
Had some texts from hubby during the night (each time they woke him up to take his temperature I suspect) and he's starting to feel better so the drugs are doing their thing.
Very, very tired today but a few of yesterday's jobs are on the agenda since yesterday went out the window.

Morning All,
Before I forget Bitsy I had a very spooky moment yesterday. I was reading the daily and noticed your quote about Happiness. It made me stop and think yes that is so true. Later on I went for a bath and started reading a new book and what should be in the text but your quote:eek: how weird is that. The book is called Solomon's Oak by Jo-Ann Mason ( a great read by the way) is that where you found it??
Bright eyes sorry to hear your sad news
JulieG I suffered with low blood pressure whilst pregnant too, I fainted so many times in our local Asd@ they had a wheelchair at the ready for me:rotfl:
Happy Anniversary Beth and OH:beer:
Well you are early birds this morning, I am normally on the first page.
nmlc I know what you mean about the washing, mine is exactly the same today, but it looks like a fine day so will try and peg it outside.
Had a very good day on SW yesterday and really felt satisfied. Today will carry on. Tea will be Spag Bol which I can have.
DH's foot is getting better slowly at least he is back at work. He has a blood test on Friday for his tummy and a scan in a couple of weeks but he says it now feels fine, this is a man who is never ill.
Our youngest DS is at the Artic Monkeys gig tonight at the MEN. He is so looking forward to it, but I will be on pins til he gets back. He is going with a group of friends so they are catching the train together. He is almost 16 but I will still worry.
Anyway enough waffle have a good day all JulieStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
