Hi everyone - feeling quite a lot better this morning though, like you Redruby, I'm still coughing. Gets on your nerves, doesn't it?
JulieGeorgiana - your DH sounds wonderful! I hope you have a good day today.
Beth - Happy Anniversary to you and Mr Beth! Good luck at the hospital.
Jackie0 - what a horrid problem to have, but I see that Bargainbird has some great advice. Hope you can get rid of the moths asap.
Well, today I've changed the sheets, mainly because it's a lovely breezy but sunny day, so I can get them on the line for the day.
Dinner will be the rest of the salad we had yesterday, with the rest of the potatoes, and pork savoyard (a piece of pork wrapped in bacon with cheese). Sounds a bit weird but it's very tasty, and great with salad. Pudding will be fresh grapes and kiwifruit (which sounds healthy until I add icecream and cream!).
Apart from that, I need to sweep and wash the kitchen floor - it's been badly neglected while I've been unwell.
Well, I'd better go and do something.
I hope you all have a good day, and that the sun is shining, too.

i know hens are not supposed to lay in winter due to the light lol....mine are still laying with no probs tho...
BB i have a white star (same as your leghorn) and 2 lohmanns...apparently the hybrids like these are better at laying in winter than the PB
Mine are on layers then they get poultry spice mixed in too......afternoons they get corn or weetabix and hot milk or whatever fruit and veg needs using up
Just having a coffee then off to make some soup and do some tidying0 -
Thanks BB we have been scouring cupboards for a week now and they are getting less but its a long job.Apparently you can get the grubs from dried dog food as well I have given her two big plastic boxes (like small crates) with lids and the dog food has gone in one and she has stashed other dried goods in the other .She has had a massive chuck out of cereals and rice and pasta etc (just in case) she is getting a bit paranoid about the wee beasties but at least the fish are being kept happy
Tonight I have a re-run of my CT scan that I had problems with last week, but the lady on the phone assured me that I won't be having the dye stuff as I had such a bad reaction to it.Fingers crossed all will go o.k. I have to drink 800 mls in the preceding two hours which is going to be fun as I am on 'water tabs ' anyway so I shall be knitting my knees together around 7.00 tonight
Just hung some washing out and will pop back to Dds around 11 to let the mutts out and hang her second load of wash out as its such a nice breezy day.
Have a lovely wednesday whatever you are doing
Cheers chums

Morning everyone.
Julie i confess ive never read the book. another MSEer posted it on a thread and I really liked it so I pinched it:o
Need get a move on, have to go and put petrol in the car, try and get some fireworks, do some cleaning and off to Forest Schools with DD this afternoon.
H still off work but thinks if he can get a stool or something to sit perch on at his desk he might cope with sitting better there.
Tea is a makeshift as I have a meeting at school and then tap class.
julieGat your MW being so rubbish and being fibbed off.

Hello all!!
Hugs, spoons, happy birthdays/anniversaries all round where required
It's my last day in Oz. I'm in Melbourne at moment, I fly to New Zealand tomorrow. I'm very excited to be seeing my 2 Camp America friends tomorrow when I land :j:j!! I'm in 2 minds as to whether I like melbourne or not, some bits have been great but the weather has been pants so kinda spoilt it a bit! I did the Neighbours tour today which was fab.
Not had time to put any more pics on FB but will try in next few days.
I'm off to pack my case and have a shower now as I leave for airport at 8.30am.
Have a good week all

Morning everyone
I didnt manage to post yesterday and wont be able to tomorrow or Friday so I am posting today to keep myself on track!
Not too much to report. I am still planning for my Christmas shopping trip on Friday. I haven't got an awful lot of money to spend so I will need to search for bargains! I have done a list of things I would like to buy for people so we will see how I get on!
Busy at work today and I need to pop into town at lunchtime to pick up some bits and bobs - that will mean that I am only Christmas shopping on Friday and not attempting to do other stuff too!
Other than that, dinner is planned for this evening and I am going to iron the 2 wash loads that I did last night.
Have a good day all.

Morning all!
WM number 3 is nearly finished, have blitzed the kitchen and bathroom, yesterday started to empty all the crud that has gravitated into our bedroom, its the only room nobody else goes in so all the clutter ends up there! Still a work in progress, will do some more later as I need to do a food shop for the next few days, back to work tomorrow, and MUST start the C word shopping! So far have about 3 things, not good, and not helped by DD and DS not having a clue what they would like and not needing anything!
Have a good day, all!RIP Iain

Morning all,
Brighteyes- so sorry for your loss (((hugs)))
Beth-Happy Anniversary- hope appt goes ok(and yours too Jackie)
Not had much to post about the last few days, and felt a bit fed up,it was 5 years since Dad died on Monday which didnt help, and DS2 had a bit of a run in with exgf,as he wanted DGD to come here for a couple of hours .Anyway, after much negotiation ,they have agreed that he can go there after work twice a week, and exs mum will bring her to ours once a week & stay with her-starting yesterday :jwhich was lovely. We'll just have to do it in small stages, but at least it means some of our rellies can come over & see her-most of our family havent seen her yet :(Her other Grandma loved DGD bedroom and it all went ok,so thats a big weight off our minds,Ds felt a lot more relaxed and not as though he was being watched all the time when he was holding her.I spent all day yesterday cleaning and tidying-backs killing me this morning:rotfl:,but I'm going to have an easy day and make some cards.
OSiness was making some green tomato chutney, made about 10 jars.My neighbour gave me some more green toms yesterday, but I'll let them ripen I think-dont want a repeat of 2007 when I made so much of the stuff we couldnt use it up.Theres still a jar in the cupboard but I wont open it-dont want to give anyone botulism
Hope everyone has a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all!
Hugs to you all, hope life improves for those going through tough times :heartsmil
A relatively peaceful day here for me. After smothering myself in Vicks last night I slept really well, think the smell kept the cats and DH away from my side of the bed
Washing hung up, kitchen cleaned and tea defrosting before I set off for work. May try and motivate myself tonight to do a bit of card making, FIL's 65th next week and mum's retiring in 2 weeks.
Popping out at lunch, DH has already eaten his lunch (at 9.40am ) so he wants a second lunch, think I'm going to have to give him a larger breakfast in future.
Take care all xxx0
