Any chance of removing Tippex from black trousers? No... thought not.

    Hi liney,

I think some people have had success with white spirit. Have a look at this thread:

    Hi Dotmatic,

    It's here.

If you're looking for it again, look towards the top of the main Old Style page where there's a bar called the Old Style (Thrifty) Resource bar. Just below that, click on Indexed Collections and you'll see The Complete Slow Cooker Collection there.

When this happened to me and I had unsuccessfully explored all possibilities for removing it I coloured over it with black biro. Just a thought.

Does anyone know how to get burnt milk off a stainless steel saucepan please?
I've tried soaking and scrubbing. Most of it has come off but not all of it.

    Thank you!

Hi - just put a layer of salt to cover the bottom, then fill the saucepan about half full with water and boil for ten minutes; works every time (I don't burn ALL my saucepans, honest!)

DonnaP scone dough recipe is on here http://www.users.bigpond.com/catch22inc/pizza_dough.html aswell as many others

Smelly socks usually caused by the bacteria in the socks from the offending feet, there is advice on here, which I was going to suggest is using some sort of antiseptic/antibacterial stuff to wash them in http://www.embarrassingproblems.co.uk/sweating_b.htm my sons got terrible feet and so has his Dad, I soak their socks in a water with a cap of a copy of dettol I found cheap then wash them with the cloths or towels wash :rotfl: same when I wash their trainers I always add some. Freezing them could be another option, I know many do that with smelly trainers in a bag in the freezer.
One day I might be more organised...........

Just turned DS's fave white T-shirt pink round the bottom - it has a tiny red trim which has bled into the surrounding fabric. I must have had the temp too hot as I've washed it loads of times before OK. It also has a pattern on the front so I'm a bit worried about bleach. Any good tips please? Thanks

If you don`t mind the trim going white or pink (if it`s only a tiny trim it may not be too noticeable), try filling your sink with a bleach/water mixture and draping the tee shirt over the edge so only the bottom is in the liquid. Try a weak mixture for a few hours or overnight first, then a stronger one if necesary.
