Hi,
I've a friend who has become allergic to raw onions, so I thought it would be good to chop her loads in advance and freeze in recipe quantities (one medium onion, two medium onions etc).
Do onions freeze well?
She cooks like me, uses them as the base for lots of soups, casseroles etc.
TIA

I have successfully frozen them: they go a bit mushy but doesn't seem a problem.
In fact I usually stick my onions in the freezer before I peel them, 10 minutes or so, it's supposed to stop them making your eyes water although I haven't really noticed much difference ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I chop a load of onions at a time and freeze them. If you are cooking them anyway you can't notice any difference.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

1. Does anyone know if the sainsburys own non-bio is any good?
2. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the morphy richards 3.5l slow cooker?
Just found the slow cooker on amazon for £16.66 with free delivery so will probably get that one. The link is here if anyone else is interested.

I can only tell you about the soap powder. It's just as good as most of the other ones I've tried, (except Asda own brand which doesn't dissolve and leaves squillions of white bits everywhere grrrr) and I'm happy with it.

I bought some baby Nuby containers from Tesco, I know there dishwasher safe but don't know if they suitable for frezzing food. As a general rule if they are dishwasher safe are they ok in the freezer?
I have thrown the packaging away and when I called in today they had no in so I couldn't have a look?
The only thing I find with cheaper tupperware type stuff is if you drop it when it's frozen it breaks. Can you tell who has an overstuffed freezerOtherwise it's always been fine in dishwasher, micro and freezer.

Hi there!
I know that cooked savoury rice goes off pretty quick and you mustn't leave it sitting around as nasties grow on it really fast...
But what about rice pudding?? I am rediscovering this and just made way too much last night!

Hi everyone
I have been looking at https://www.howtocleananything.com and they recommend scrubbing an old, dull stainless steel sink with a steel wool scrubber pad. I always thought you shouldn't do this as it would scratch the surface?
