Does anyone know where I could buy light coconut milk that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? We love thai curries but the coconut milk is sooo expensive.0

could you use the blocks of creamed coconut? I grate that into curries to make them creamier. not sure if you could dissolve some in water if you need a liquid.weaving through the chaos...0

I have not done a joint of beef in my slow cooker before and I'm planning to do so tomorrow. I do have a question though - the joint I've got fits better into the slow cooker if I lie it on its side rather than standing it on its end. Will that make any difference to the cooking? Am not sure if there is a right way or a wrong way about these things?
Thanks in advance

No, it will be fine
A tip though is to sit it on an upturned saucer.
You also only need about 1cm of water in the cooker - add AFTER the joint is in place. You do need a small amount of water to make the seal around the lid.
We actually have a "specialist" quick questions thread for slow cookers (see the very first post in this thread) if you have any more questions.

Last year I bought a pair of red clarks ladies sandals at Heathrow, as we were passing thro' . They are 'suedy' poss nubuck and have been wonderfully comfy. Wore them again today for the first time this year and red dye has come off on my feet...any ideas on how to stop this please as they were too expensive to throw away
I live in Spain so going to local Clarks isn't an option0 -
Think I've read somewhere, that you can spray the insides of suede shoes with hairspray...but I may have only dreamt it
What about those 'proper' sprays you can get to waterproof suede shoes? Soz....I am trying to help....honest:p
My question please....can you cook pre-soaked split peas & washed off lentils in the same pot? They seem to have very similar cooking methods, but I don't want to poison anyone:eek:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I emailed clarks yesterday and got a replt this morning, saying they don't understand why the dye's coming off and to send a photo of sandalls and soles together with copy of receipt, which I haven't got now unless I can find something on my old credit card bills0 -
I have a pack of Morrisons value fish portions in butter sauce which I am going to make a fish pie with tonight. It says on the back 'may contain bones'. Is this a 'will probably contain bones' or a 'we've tried our best to remove them but we have to put this warning on the pack to cover our backs'? Thanks!Student MoneySaving Club member 017!0
