Is there anyway at all of getting Tippex out of a pair of grey school trousers that have been through the wash? I threw them in, pulled them out and they had a massive blob down the leg - apparently there was a Tippex fight at school :rolleyes:Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

If somebody comes up with a better suggestion than mine - I would go with that one. Mine is only a 'last resort' idea.
When I worked in an office (l-o-n-g time ago) we used something called 'snopake' which was just like tippex. The thinners for this (also worked for removal) was something called 'toluene'. It's a substance that should be handled very carefully as it's one of those things that 'sniffers' like to use and is highly flammable.
It does have one of those pongs like paint thinner.0 -

I used to work in an office and shortly after they removed the "sniffer" solvent from tippex, all the supply companies stopped selling the thinners too - for the same reasonUnless things have changed and they've brought it back in during the last 5 years, I think you'd have to search far and wide to find the actual tippex thinners stuff, unfortunately.
Sorry don't want you to spend too long searching for it in case you still can't get it.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

More peasDid you use frozen or dried peas? I use dried; soak and cook as the instructions on the packet, and they make a really thick soup. Made with HM stock, when it's cold, the soup is solid. You could try making up a new packet of peas, add that, and see if that works.

Hi yes it was dried peas, but i got too greedy and added more water lol, i have frozen pea and a tin of mushy peas and a tin of peas. I cooked it last night thinking it might thicken up over night as it normaly would and didnt lol.
Do you think I could add any of those, trying to leave at least one of the tins of peas as I'm making fish and mash tomorrow and if theres no peaswith it, it'll be world war 3 in here lol:DGrocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03

Would adding some powdered mash potato work - or would it perhaps go 'too starchy'
?

Got any ready brek? Or quick porridge oats? They break down well and thicken things nicely.
Other options, mix some cornflour with cold water to a thin cream consistency and add it - or make a roux, or...
Scoop out a couple of ladles' worth of the soup and whizz them thoroughly and put them back in.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
