    Bungle Girl,

It won't be a problem to fill your basins, cover and leave overnight. I have often not completed the steaming in one session....say 3/4 hours one day and 3/4 the next is ok. You may even be able to fit in two sessions in one day, again not a problem

Allegedly a Christmas pudding is at its best if it matures for a long time, IMHO it is the quality of the mix and the cooking that makes the difference...I made mine last month but have been know to make in the middle of December and they were fine.

Sorry, can't help with the stain removal, but how about painting the back of the belt with clear nail varnish to prevent any further staining:confused:

Other than that, how about trying a fibre belt, my hubby wears a canvas one for work, but he doesn't work in an office, don't know where Mr Savvy_Sue works, if it would be any good for him.
Thanks, I'd thought of changing to a canvas belt, just not at a sensible time to discuss it with Mr SS. Appearance would be fine, he rarely has to look smart (fortunately!).

I hadn't thought of nail varnish, which would be a good idea a) if we had any in the house; b) if I didn't know that the smell would upset someone if I used it and c) if I didn't fear it would react with DH's sweat to aggravate his eczema ... which is of course already thriving in the permanently moist environment. :o

Off to rummage in the wardrobe for a non-leather belt ...

Can I make a cheese sauce now ready for dinner this evening. It's just the version I make, takes quite a long time. melt butter, add flour, make a roux, gradually add miik, stir till boiled is a faff when the kids are around.Lisa x

Sorry if this is too late, but might be useful next time. Brian Turner advocates an all in one sauce, but I can't find the recipe at the moment, but I have found the Delia one here

Sometimes the back of the mail order catalogue has the info - so presumably their websites will too ;)

    Or try this website :http://www.85b.org/bra_calc.php

Not sure how accurate they are though but should help ;)

Although I find my true bra size varies from style to style. And some styles are never going to fit ME comfortably.

I think the best thing about the bra book is that it tells you what to LOOK for as well as just telling you how to measure in the first place!

but if you can find a good fitter (which we've talked about on the Health and Beauty board) then life is suddenly MUCH easier, although not necessarily cheap. Because even when you 'know' your size, it's not always transferrable to a different maker or style, so unless you buy more of the same you need to try them on again.

I go and get fitted at a very good old fashioned lingerie shop, have done for about 7 years now. The woman judges the size, then tries different bras for the perfect fit. I got really annoyed at that Trinny and Suzannah programme recently, because it's not as easy as knowing your bust size and that's it. When I go in, we find that even the same manufacturer, but slightly different style means a different size. So it's not as easy as getting measured and all will fit. I have to add here that I am fairly well endowed, and larger sizes are even harder to find a good fit. I even tried Bravissimo, in Glasgow, and they had nothing to fit.

I feel a lot more confident now, with a perfect fit bra. Wish I had done this years sooner.
