Haribo, Looking at it again, it doesn't sound right.

I've checked again and that's definitely what it says, but I would imagine if you left it in the oven for 50 mins it would be burned to a frazzle.

Sorry Sue, I have been no help whatsoever!:o

It's a good job I am at work on my own right now, because I have just been laughing out loud, and I know it's not funny, but ...

The entire Savvy Family will be much indebted when we finally eat our pies.

And pink, next time you are OUT in the garage, could you please confirm - do your pies have pre-cooked pastry? Because mine do, and I can see that that would reduce the time a little.

PPS Sue, The least you could have done was hang around for an answer while I was risking life and limb for you and your pies! :D Tell Mr Savvy_Sue, I love him too! ;)
But Pink, I'd posted my query over an hour earlier! If I was that desperate I'd have followed up with an 'Anyone?' or just experimented ...

However, I promise to start any future enquiries which might lead to your freezer with the words "This really isn't urgent but I was just wondering ..." unless it really IS urgent! :rotfl:

And could I respectfully suggest that other posters who just happen to think of similar questions late at night do the same?

Because we don't want our Pink getting frost-bite, do we! :rotfl:

Sure this has been asked and answered a few posts back and I think the answer was yes, although a good tin will also do the trick, but do a search of this thread for shortbread and I'm sure you'll find it!

Crafty...You can freeze shortbread but if it is only for a week or two I wouldn't bother, would use an airtight tin

Sorry, I know the search thing can be tricky ... :o

I remember the other comment was that in most houses it doesn't last long enough to need freezing! :rotfl:

Found it! it's all round about 11 November if that doesn't work and you want LOTS of details about storing shortbread!
