Evenin'.
Hope everyone's had a good day so far - haven't had chance to read through the thread yet but will do so in a mo. Had a great time yesterday fundraising and managed to get £63.50 for our trick or treat themed lucky dip - yay! Just spent a pleasant few minutes pottering around the kitchen preparing the marinade for some pork ribs for tea (Chinese-style, yum) and will pop those in the oven with an experiment a bit later. I'm wondering if putting some crushed garlic on a bit of greaseproof while the oven cools down will dry it out so I can use it as a garlic powder for when I can't get fresh. At the moment I have loads of it in the fridge, so will experiment a bit and see. We'll have them with some HM Chips.
Well, got to fly = have a lovely evening everyone and I'll check in a bit later for a thorough read. (((hugs))) to those in need of them, and anyone feeling poorly or unwell I hope you feel better soon.

Im another who has had a chocolate binge today but will start again tomorrow:EasterBun So you are not alone Ceirdwyn.
A very quiet day for me. I have been waiting in for my delivery as I treated myself to a new floor lamp for my living room. It looks very nice but will have to wait for Kids Dad to approve or not (and then ignore him)!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Brighteyes so sorry for your loss (((HUG)))
Ceirdwyn sweetie, I so empathise. Whinge away all you want, there's people here who will fully understand. But, you know, I'm certain that you're not "horrible and deformed"; your hubby loves you, and that's got to count for a lot. (((HUG))) Hey, I'm a fine one to talk - I'd trade my clapped out old carcase in for a new one any day - but it's not an option, so I plod on, and swear a lot when the pain gets really bad.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Brighteyes - so sorry to hear about your Gdad
Just back from a food shop, spend a stupid amount of money, on nothing - OH is rediculous, he wanted £20 joint of beef to make jerky with.... really.... so what i planned to spend in one month won't even do us 1 week... Good job OH got a cheque today....will pay that in the bank tomorrow.
OH is making dinner, he is having steak and potato bake, i'm having the potato part. Going to head for a bath shortly, and chill out. Not in a great mood this evening.
