  • Good morning everyone.
How lovely to remember Diva, i was a lurker then but loved reading her posts :A.
HardupHester, hope your situation doesn't last too long.
Molly41, your poor dd. There just isn't any need for that, mindless thuggery. Hope she is ok.
JuliaGeorgiana, hope you feel better soon and can rest.
DD has her dermatology appointment today. I don't really know what they are going to do. Her biggest bald patch now has hair in it, not as thick as it used to be but never the less, it's there. She has eyelashes (top ones are looking good), bottom ones are very patchy. Eyebrows are patchy. So all the signs are good again, been here before though.
Os wise, going to hang washing out as it's very bright here. Going to use up all the fresh veg for tea.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

    Morning everyone

Very dull and overcast, sky looks full of rain too. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Back to work yesterday was steady but not manic like some Mondays so we may be blessed with that today especially as some schools didn't go back until today.

Dinner last night was gammon steaks, egg, mash, veg and onion sauce - delish! Tea tonight will be quickies as DS1 has rugby training. Did manage to get a line of washing dried yesterday - won't be bothering today rain on it's way I think! Guy came to collect books they won on ebay so a few more pennies in the money box. :T

Will be checking through freezer in next few days as have lots of containers with various things in them, need to start using some of this up to make way for xmas food - hopefully will make up meals so I can reduce shopping bill. Did my shopping on Thurs last week as we went away early Friday morning so am going to make what I have last until my normal Friday shopping day this week - have done a rough menu plan and have quite a good stock of food in the freezer/storecupboards so should be able to make some savings by using things up. Would like to get some sweet/dessert things made so will be thinking what I can make.

Need to crack on otherwise I won't be ready for work, at least today is last full day, just work half day on Weds then off until Monday.:j

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

Morning everyone. Didn't sleep too well and naffed off already! Someone left the front doors open last night and I didn't find out for 2-3 hours as I was asleep  I left a plain message on the fridge to be careful and got a load of narcky comments from a certain person(same person who is 28 and has tantrums). When people are out at night I leave one of the hall lights on as we live in a very dark secluded culdesac with no outdoor lights and a very wonky front garden- this is reasonable/normal, right? Or if you're out all evening you leave one on. Grr, some people have no clue.

ANYWAY, off to work which probably won't calm my mood :p I'm going to have to be early as someone has broken their computer and yesterday sat at my desk leaving me with their half dead computer

Good morning, everyone; still trying to shake off this horrid bug but this morning I feel better than I have for ages, so perhaps it's definitely on the way out.

Bargainbird - lovely to see a purple start and, straightaway, it made me think of our lovely Diva, bless her. The thread isn't the same without her, is it?

Hester - you could make a sexy boa with all that wool, ready for the next time you need to give hubby a special 'thank you'!

JulieGeorgiana - perhaps a trip to the doctors should be on the cards, especially as you've almost fainted twice. Hope you feel better soon.

OS-wise, I haven't done more than the basics lately due to feeling unwell. In fact, I even bought bread (for the first time in years!) at the weekend, because I couldn't face making it, so today I shall be making two loaves, a cake to keep DH going for the week, and a salad for dinner tonight.

I have a mound of paperwork to sort and file away, so I shall try and get that done this morning. Since DH registered as self-employed here in France, it's thrown up another nightmare of red tape. It was bad enough in the UK, but it's far worse here!

We are definitely going back to the UK for a good old-fashioned British Christmas, so I need to get the rest of the wrapping up done. My heart does a little somersault every time I think of getting back on the ferry back home. I can't wait to go back and see everyone, especially the latest granddaughter that I've only seen on Skype.

Well, I've finished my coffee so I'd better go and make a start on something constructive.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Morning Morning,

just about to take OH to work, I need to go to the butchers today to get his dinner as he wants steak. I've no apetite at the moment, so no sure what i'll have. Jacket potato of something i think.

Got to pay rent and a few other bills today, and make arrangements for when i'm in scotland. I'm so scared of flying....

Need to clean kitchen and do some form of clothes wash today. Also going to treat myself to a long bath and relax with a magazine later one. I'm fully into hibernation mode right now, so don't think i'll be going out much before OH's birthday on the 25th.

Hugs to all who need them

    Morning all

Grey here but dry with a bit of a breeze, DS bedding is on the line. Hopefully it will dry before the rain hits us. DS is not back at school until tomorrow, I am craving some peace and quiet.

Will take the big dog out for a walk in a mo, then have got paperwork to do need to look at new boiler cover as well as I'm not paying my renewal quote. Also have some ironing to do. Tea tonight is spaghetti bolognese.

Bramble just read your sad news about your Grandad, hugs hunny

Have a good day all and big hugs to those who need one.

    Morning All,

A day in today. I want to go on the SW website and write some recipes down. Feeling very positive and motivated at the moment.

DS3 is cooking a stir fry today, so he can have that for tea.
DH and I will have roast chicken, SW chips and veg.

Lots of trick and treaters last night including our youngest DGC who at 4mnths looked adorable dressed as a pumpkin:D

I also need to parcel up some ebay sales today.
My bathroom scales are not working which is a good thing cos it means I am not tempted to jump on them every morning and will wait for the weigh in next wk.

Zumba class tonight so looking forward to that.

Not much else really, JG put your feet up today it sounds like you need a rest.

    Have a good day all J x

    Morning all,

Towels wash is on. Got a bit of leftover ironing from laundry day yesterday when some things were too wet to iron. I hate winter and drying stuff indoors. :(

Need to make hubby a gluten-free loaf today as the pharmacy are late getting his prescription order of bread in *sigh*

Just price-checked my Asda receipt from yesterday's grocery shop. For the first time in weeks Asda was 10% cheaper than everywhere else so no voucher. But at the moment you get a £5 off £40 voucher just for checking your receipt, so have that at least. For yesterday's shop I had one of these bonus £5 vouchers and a £3.98 voucher for the prior shop being cheaper at Tesco. £60 worth of food shopping for £51. :D

Must get out in the garden today. The weeds are winning again. Next week and the week after my Mon/Tues off work will be spent DIYing (redecorating the next room - am working my way around the house) and the two weeks after that I have to work full-time as the other girl in my team is on holiday. Then we'll be into December.

Morning ladies, woohoo on the first page today. Weather lovely , dry with a breeze and mild, so will get my bedding on the line in a bit. Was visited by about 40 little witches , zombies and vampires yesterday, they all looked lovely and were so well behaved and polite, each and everyone of them said thank you, and when I went out in the garden this morn to pick up any sweetie wrappers there wasn't any:eek: makes a nice change. Dd loved her party and was so tired from dancing , so all in all it was a good night.
JG You take it easy today , and look after yourself.xx

Gregg was so well behaved yesterday whilst I looked after him. Took him to the toddler park to go on the swings and he loved them, I love little kids (as can give them back);)

Sw curry was a success . I have left overs today for dinner and the boys and dd have hm pizza with hm chips and garlic bread.

So today is a lazy day as housework is upto date, washing also upto date and nothing really to do.

Hope everyone has a lovely day:)

EDIT I would have been on the 1st page if I hadn't taken so long typing it up.
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)
