Afternoon All
Another one who misses our Diva, we lost our angel :A and heaven gained one.
Washing done, housework done and have been to the freezer trade shop and spent £60  but that does include 3 joints Gammon, 2 joints beef, 10 bags Chicken breast fillets, cocktail sausages, 5 packs smoked bacon, chicken goujons, salmon fillets, prawns, 2 huge gateau's (catering size) sausage rolls, profiteroles and some other bits and bobs so I now have Christmas more or less sorted, I will go over again in a couple of weeks just to see if there is anything new in.
I am fuming with my lot I have washed 16 towels in the last 2 days and they are a nightmare to dry this time of year  and DD has just brought me another 2 down.
Doc Martin was great last night I will miss it. I don't fancy that Jury thingnext week, that sort of programme is so boring.

Hi there,
Am doing a little better today. Have knocked off 4 things on yesterday's, (now today's!) To-do list.
Namely I've washed and dried all towels and teatowels, tidied up the fridge and wiped it out, Done a lightning dash to Mr T's and stocked up on a few essentials, not much in the way of bargains and stuck rigidly to my list so very little money spent.:j
Also while I was out called in to a lovely little shop and bought my DSiL a birthday present. Spent a bit more than I'd planned but she is sooooo worth it.
The vicaress and I have decided that we are not losing weight because we are eating when we think it is time for a meal instead of when we are truly hungry. In future we will eat when the hunger pangs hit us (although I wouldn't recognise one if it arrived with a fanfare of trumpets!) and not before. Quite difficult as we are now having to cook for ourselves at different times. I tend to eat a good breakfast and fairish lunch and am not bothered about the evening meal at all, whereas she seems not to eat breakfast at all, a large lunch and a snack in the evening. Well, we will see how it goes but we have to do something. My next plan is to finally give up sugar in my black coffee. Gosh, it's hard.
JG: You take care of yourself. just wrap yourself up in cottonwool. No heroics.
I didn't meet Diva, but by all your comments I've missed something good.
Indulged by buying Simply Wonderwoman on Amzn. Lovely book, I may get a couple for presents.
Have a good day all.I believe that friends are quiet angels

A most for anyone who likes Dr Who and remembers Victoria Wood:rotfl:
I've had a pretty carp day, I had loads planned but I've had a bad pain day and done nothing:( Been laid on the sofa with the heated blanket on and my TENS blasting, comfort eating on all the chocolate I got for any trick or treaters who came. We only got 2 lots, so there is loads of choccy left, or there was anyway. I'm now feeling down coz I'm in pain, more down coz the house is a tip, even more down coz I ate that chocolate when I'm trying to lose weight, but what's the point of losing weight when my body will still be horrible and deformed even if I was a size 10.....so then I give up, put more weight on, feel worse:wall:
Sorry to offload to you lot, Hubby is fantastic, but he must get fed up of me whinging sometimes. I don't like to land everything on him all the time.

Ceirdwyn: what a horrible time you are having. I've done the chocolate thing so often myself I know how cross with yourself and depressed it makes you. My most stupid thing is to eat all the chocs I don't particularly like from a box so that I can then enjoy the ones I love. Only when I've done that I don't love them anymore, or myself! I have this quote stuck up all over the place. "The chief cause of unhappiness is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment." Sometimes it helps, but sometimes the self destruct button gets stuck. Hope you feel better soon, in the meantime whinge away, we all understand.
Brighteyes: So sorry about your Grandad. It will be very hard for a time but yourDD is young and her pleasure in her birthday will carry you through.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Oh BRIGHTEYES, I'm so sorry to hear about your DGDad, it's never easy loosing someone we love. Let's just hope that on future birthdays your DD will have happy memories that will out weigh the sadness of the loss.
((((((((( hugs to all of you))))))))))))0 -
Afternoon..well evening really all!
Been a busy day at work today but have found 5 mins to pop on and catch up quickly with you all. Hugs to those who need them, Brighteyes especially. Hope those of you who are feeling poorly take it easy and see a Dr if necessary.
Finding it very difficult to be motivated once I get home, don't like going home in the dark. I'm getting up bright and early (it's dark then too though) to get things done around the house so I have little to do when I get home from work. Just tea to cook (well heat up) and tomorrow's lunches to make tonight and going to make a large pan of mash to freeze. Bought a bag of spuds today and they never seem to stay fresh for long these days.
Must get back to looking busy, 20 mins til hometime. Take care all xxx0
