  • OH got out a bone in lamb breast and is quite big like a joint of shoulder, but its quite fatty. I dont mind the fat, but do I just put in SC whole and hope it will come off easily later:confused: I have already put carrots, swede, onions and new potatoes in.

Sorry to be such a pain.

    Hi Folks,

not posted for ages - lots of stuff going on, but I try to read up on what everyone is doing.

So tired this mornig, that I put my jumper on back to front and did not realise until I got half way to work and thought - what's that scratchy thing at my throat? Oh, the label!! So have had to rush off to the ladies (freezing in there!) and readjust my wardrobe.... Good start to the day!

No snow here. Raining, but not enough to wash all that horrible salt off the roads, so will have to wash my car lights before I set off tonight.

Know what you mean Tru - I do a bit of calligraphy and have been asked to do place names and table plan for a wedding (as a favour of course!) ASked what the theme was and apparently the Matron of honour is in burgundy. Bride is in cream, so I thought I would try burgundy ink on cream parchment......... Looks like it is written in blood!!!!!!!! Plan B beckons........

Will do Kyles banana bread as I have a few to use up. Thanks for the recipe, Kyle.

    Have a good day everyone

Only a very quick scan of the thread this morning as I'm running late.
At last my learning grant has been payed in - and this will mean that I now go onto my DMP so have to get the paperwork in order for that.
I've still been having doubts, especially with the rising interest rates (I worry about when my fixed rate ends next June) but, ce la vie - I can't see any other option at the moment. It will be good though to be able to budget on actual cash, as opposed to juggling the debts.
Took youngest to tae-kwondo last night, and ended up feeling bad. I am managing to incorporate the weekly £2 for his class into budget, but they're going on about joining in their other class so he can practice more (another twice a week @ £2.50 each session, + it's much further away = more petrol).
Also they're going on a trip @ £25 per adult and £11 per child. I just don't have the money, and am starting to feel that going to class is making my son feel even more deprived than if he wasn't going at all.
Sorry, whinge over - but no one understands these things quite like you guys, so I hope you don't mind me sharing.
College again today - really enjoying the Aromatherapy, even though I've done it before.
Right, best get clothes on - I leave it until last mintue for a good reason :D
By all, I hope you have a good day.

    Morning All

Congratulations to Andrea on the birth of Elenanor

A fitful night sleep here, DD slept in her cot till 1am then ended up in with me and DH slept on the sofa. She seems abit better today, her nose isnt running quite so much and theres been no coughing since we got up. At home this morning and then I've got to go to work this afternoon so DD will be going to MIL's.

This morning I'll do some housework and get dinner ready I have spag bol on my mealplaner but I think it might turn into cottage pie and it is so cold here, no snow though which I'm glad about. Need to go and put the breadmaker on in a minute and have a look at the washinng on the maidan.

    Have a good day everyone

I find it melts - if you want to get rid of the fat, then either let it go cold and remove when solidified, or pour juice into a jug and then drop in a few ice cubes. The fat tends to solidify and glue to the ice cubes (unless it's so hot the ice cubes melt first, lol)
