Awww LW not knowing how something is done doesn't make you stupid and useless so please don't go. You'd never make an idiot of yourself, nor anyone else either. I have no issue with people being told how to do things I just think there are different ways and means, especially since this is all done via written word. Easy to misinterpret someone's "tone" if you can't hear it.
I only mentioned it because monnogran felt she had to apologise for mistake and I didn't think it warranted that.

  • Wolfy if you dare bow out, I will come hunt you down again! I also thought the post was a bit abrupt, but I think it probably got lost in translation. Hello and cheerio everyone. xxx

Lamewolf - I agree with previous comments, don't you dare bow out, you are one of the reasons I read the thread and had the nerve to join in. I agree also that the comment from Squeaky seemed abrupt but also that in the written word the 'tone' may be read not as intended, ITGWIM! They always say not to send an email in anger and as for texting........lol

Anyway, Brighteyes it's my DD1 birthday today too, when she was little she thought everybody dressed in black for birthday parties and she had quite a few with a 'witchy' Haloween theme. A local restaurant chain sent me a voucher for their Mexican night 2-4-1 £5.99 all you can eat buffet, so put that in her b'day bag as well.

No OS today or yesterday as on days, on nights tomorrow and in for 18:00 so got a list for the morning (after a lie in!)

Will let you know how much of the list I get done tomorrow!

Dear, dear LW, don't you dare go feeling stupid and useless, that's MY role, and I just don't care. We are all gifted in different ways and mine certainly isn't anything to do with technology, but I can tell a good story, make melt-in-the-mouth pastry and cut a straight slice from a loaf. I wonder if squeaky can do all those things. LW, I bet you are BRILLIANT at some things. You certainly lift everyone's spirits on here!

  • Tbh, I think that's just how Squeaky is. She's always struck me as the kind of lady who's very set in her ways about how things should be run, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, plus this is a very busy board so she probably doesn't have time to think about her 'tone' and how things come across very often. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm by it.

Don't you dare go anywhere LW, I love your posts especially about your 4 legged lodgers xxxx

    Hi everyone
Long time no post, I know! Just feel I am not very OS at the moment, moneysaving when I can but not doing batch cooking and only cooking meals from scratch at weekends when OH is home, during the week it is either ready meal or a sarnie....yes I know I could freeze ready meals for me but I think I am getting old, by the time I get home and do what has to be done its getting on for 8.30 and I just want to put pjs on and go to bed!

At weekends it seems to be chasing me tail doing things I didn't do during the week and trying to make some time for me and OH to relax and spend some time together, with him being away all week it don't make for a good weekend when I have me head down the loo scrubbing it :D:rotfl:

Maybe I need to plan better, I dunno. Then if we have a weekend away its like everything needs doing....in a real world I would get up and do it before I go to work....but the snooze button is sooooo handy :rotfl:

Anyways, on the OS front, I took HM soup to work for my lunch today and have enough for the rest of the week. (I do admit that the roll I take each day is not HM, but it is a part baked one so I do have to do some work :D) Have been to my Burlesque class tonight so not done anything since I got home, was thinking of hoovering but its my night for craft night tomorrow so we will make a mess and then it will need doing again :rotfl:(I do craft night with workmate every fortnight, we take turns at house, she brings her DD and her mum, its fun, cos we do all sorts of things, tomorrow I am going to do sock monkey with her DD.

Well as usual I have waffled away, hugs to those who need/want....cyas xxxxxx

Hi just dropping in after a couple of days working long hours.

Dazi your craft nights sound lovely, but can I ask what a sock monkey is? or am I being thick and it is a monkey made out of a pair of socks? I do xstitch and the odd bit of knitting but thats all.

Not really done much OS the last couple of days, and I have been very naughty and lived on toast and beans when I have come in as I have been so tired, but have a couple of days off now so planning on making some soup and putting my SC on tomorrow.

Hugs to all who need them and happly halloween
