Haven't read the thread yet, as have been busy all day sorting the tree surgeon out and picking car up from it's MOT which cost £300!!:mad:The ts has also cut my favourite bush down too by mistake:mad::mad:
Feeling really crap and hormonal, and kind of jittery, so no OS going on today.Went out with Boo and SOTD this aft and got her a really cute party dress for Xmas day and a couple of pressies for DGS:D:D
Sorry to moan on, and hope you're all ok:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Afternoon All
Happy Birthday to Brighteyes DD.
Good luck at court FW.
Gentle Hugs to Poppy
Forgot the rest, but hugs and good wishes to you all!
Work today but had to go the dentist at lunch time as toothache was really bad. Have to have root treatment (it hurt last time!) but he has covered it with something horrid and given me anti-bs.
It was the Hallowe'en party at school today, lots of fabby costumes but not that many home made any more, nearly all bought outfits. I really like it when the parents make the effort to make something for the children. The children all went home stuffed with sweets and high as kites!
Don't have to buy anything for trick or treaters as there are only 2 houses here and next door have grown up children too.
Off to work later, DD having sausages and mash for tea, not sure what I shall have. Take care. XX0 -
We have a Corn snake - Valera, A Yellow Rat Snake - Nathair Mor (Scots Gaelic fro Big Snake), A Dessert King Snake - Cleopatra, A Royal Python - Righ (Scots Gaelic for King coz he's a royal python) and a Boa Constrictor - Teannach (Scots Gaelic for squeeze/constrict) He's going to be great for Halloween in a couple of years, all big and scary looking, but at the moment he's looks more like a shoe lace, here he is...
My NDN's Royal Pythons were named Death and Trap. 'Nuff said??:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening all
Happy Birthday Miss Brighteyes enjoy Pizza Hut.
DS decided he didn't want to go trick or treating so we're having a lazy night with the big dog. Have had quite a few little ones around and they look so sweet.
Lovely hearing about the snakes people have as pets. DS has a corn snake called Fang. He's beautiful coral and cream colour. I find him really calming to hold. He would love bearded dragons but it's the outlay and where I would put them. DS is really knowledgeable about all snakes, reptiles and insects and will pick anything up. Good job I'm not bothered either!
Enjoy the rest of Halloween, always loved it since I was a kid.

Hello again.
Many thanks Bitzy & LW for your sympathy. Tbh I hadn't seen anything very wrong with Squeaky's reprimand, but that's just the sort of sunny natured person that I am. However, having read it again, yes, you're right. It was a bit terse. Now, I have the pin in my hand, where did I put that plasticine doll?
I see some different names around, Welcome, if you've just joined us. It's good here.
Happy Birthday Brighteyes DD. Isn't it wonderful when they are young enough to get so excited. Or at least to SHOW that they are excited.
Just had a call from DS1. He went to visit his half- sister this weekend and discovered that she had got them both tickets to a Halloween Ball. I haven't stopped laughing yet, she's obviously never seen him dancing!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well, my day off has been a non-starter. The doorbell and the phone have not stopped ringing all day. I have just looked at my 'to-do' list, crossed out Monday and written Tuesday in its place. The apples are still in the carrier bag, the tea-towels are still in the WM, the iron has remained as cold as charity all day, The weeds are undisturbed and my untidy house is just that bit untidier. However, I did watch Downton Abbey.

Evening all, not caught up yet. Been making plans to go up to scotland on the weekend, Drs don't think Gdad will make it to Christmas
i have a half day thursday and friday off, but i'm supposed to be going to ldn with a friend on thursday to see a gig, and i don't feel i can let her down this late in the day, she suffers from panic disorder and not sure anyone else would go with her.....
So flying out friday morning and coming home sunday. I'm terrified of flying ,but it means i only have to travel for a few hours instead of all day.

Lovely to catch up on your days.
JackieO - just take it easy and don't rush about. Sorry your \DD isn't well. Hope she feels better tomorrow.
Molly - still thinking like mad for Molly dog. Hope you have a more settled night with her tonight.
Bit pooooped from new job. This full-time malarkey might get in the way of my OS for a while as I need to be taken to the pub after. Tea has just been had - the very nutritious meal of packet chicken noodle soup followed by fish fingers club sandwiches and a tangerine:p. Oh and I had a glass of innocent smoothie mango and orange. It was such a fab combo I might have it all week!
JackieG - yes, still in education but a diff role. Thanks for asking. Yes it's a big step for me. Hope things are well with you. Haven't been in Glasgow since hhmmm July or earlier!
Off to put my PJs on and get ready for University Challenge.
Early bed tonight. Hope eejits aren't out with fireworks.

:(Been thinking about this and wondering, although I'm married to an IT techie, if I make a stupid mistake, will I be made to feel stupid and useless? Thinking maybe it's time I bowed out before I make a complete idiot of myself.:(:(
Don't you dare bow out, I love reading your posts, and hearing of your doggie visitors, I would miss you posting, I am sure squeaky meant nothing by it, I have never known anyone been told off for starting the daily wrong before x0
