    Morning ladies, happy halloween.
    Welcome pinkteapot.
Another dry day today , its mild again which is a good thing as really need to get bedding washed and dried for the boys. 1st lot on the line 2nd load in the wm. Dw on, kids all back to school, house is reasonably tidy. Dd is off to a Halloween party tonight , it is fancy dress so I was thinking zombie, witch, you get the idea............no dd and her friend asked me to get them burlesque outfits from ebay :eek:. No no no. Didn't have the tantrums I expected when I said no and they opted for zombies. I dont really like trick and treating , the amount of kids last year about 7 years old knocking on peoples doors without an adult was very high round here. Saying that I do always have a tub of goodies for the little witches and ghosts that appear, woofer has a pair of vampire horns that he actually keeps on daft dog:rotfl::rotfl:
So plan for today is book ds3 2 more driving lessons for this week,Keep Gregg occupied , may take him to the toddler park as its so mild, then back home to make a start on dinner, chicken curry , slimming world style.
Hope you all have a lovely day:)
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)

Another one here where Monday is the day of rest. My hubby is Music director/worship leader at our church and I do the AV stuff. I've got a few errands to run today, but the task I really want to get done is to clean out the cupboard under the worktop in the kitchen. I can't bend down easily, so everything just gets thrown in :o I'm going to take a little stool in to sit on and clear it all out so it doesn't all avalanche out every time the door is opened.
I don't really decorate for Halloween, but I get some sweets in for any kids that come around, they just have to take them from my hand.... ignoring the fact that I have a snake wrapped around my arm:D This usually result in every child in the neighbourhood coming so they can see the snakes.

    Hi
My little one has his 12 week jabs at lunchtime :(

Have extra children over tonight to make halloween sweets, better they are safe in the house than wandering the streets in the dark.

Cloth nappies and wipes in the machine, the wipes don't need drying they go into their tub damp and the nappy covers don't take long to dry - have plenty of spare inserts. Weather is pants so if I do laundry today it will be tumbled  but then that saves on heating as tumble heats the whole house up

Going to read the Lakeland xmas catalogue that just came through the door with a nice cup of coffee and going to finish job app. for a job thats a little bit out of my league but worth a shot at!

  • Hi chums did the school run and just put some halloween cookies in the oven for the boys for later.their Mum isn't feeling well today and has stayed in bed as she has a nasty migraine bless her.My youngest is rarely ill and when she is she just goes to bed and stays there until better.I pooped back to her house after the school run and made her a cuppa and told her to sleep it off as I will get the boys this afternoon. She's one of those folks that a good sleep cures almost anything .
Just got back to get a phone call saying my CT scan is rebooked for this Wednesday night at 7.00 p.m. but they have me 'flagged' not to have the accompanying dye which made me so unwell last week so I just have to drink 2 pints of fluid uring the two hours beforehand, I shall have my legs crossed I think :):)fingers crossed thats all well I also have an echo booked for the 16th and a breathing test for the 21st They are certainly making sure all of my bits are in working order, its like an MOT:):)
Just going to attack Mount Ironing, I must catch up on all the jobs I put off over the week-end
Welcome to pinkteapot I think its a great name and I love the avartar :):)
Have a good haloween chums I'm sure the kids are all excited .My three youngest DGS are all ready with their spooky makeup and costumes .They only are allowed round the square where they live, so don't go far and because their Mum always makes them look good they seem to get a good 'haul' Mikey has a great little raggety spook outfit and being a small seven he looks pretty cute.Tess carved the pumpkin last night and its looks fantastic with the little tea light inside.
    Cheers chums

  • Morning All,

My cashflow problems continue! I was hoping for a payment to arrive today but it hasnt so hopefully tomorrow! Its irritating because I want to get on and buy some Christmas presents. I do have an overdraft so I could still buy them but I would rather to it with real money if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I will carry on with my Christmas planning. I also have a lot of work (at work) to do today.

Dinner tonight is fish, veg and new pots followed by I dont know what but there is plenty of stuff there.

I may pop to Lidl in my lunch hour - they were due to get some new stock for Christmas in today so I may take a look.

    Have a good day everyone.

Late start on here today, been on the go since I got up at 5.45. I put the BM, WM & DW on before DH got up. I've stripped & remade our bed. I threw the laundry down the stairs as I didn't want to get tangled in it and land at the bottom in a heap like I did last time. My back has improved so no more Morph or pain killers for me.
I've been on to the company who is going to supply our new roof & supply and fit Solar panels on our extension, they've assured us that it will be up and running before 8th Dec as the FiT may drop. Just hope DH and I will be able to remove the old roof and fit the new one in time. I'm all up for any building / maintanence work but I'm not that good when it comes to heights, suppose I'll just have to bite the bullet and get on with it. :(
Like ISLANDMAID, I'm making a Chick & Mushroom pie out of y/days lo chick, veg & roasties for dinner, I'll take dinner to DD, Sil & DGd this afternoon and collect their laundry and get DD's prescription.
Kitchen and bathrooms need a swish and another never ending battle with the ironing pile. Must take DH a coffee, he's still clearing moss off the roof & gutters and it's cold out.

UOLYPOOL, Thank you for the update on Andrew, my heart goes out to him and his Mum, been thinking of you all a lot. You really are :A for caring for him. I hope the so called father gets locked up and they throw the key away. Well I'm glad to hear about your neighbours, although the lads were thoughtless at least you got a nice appology, shows that you do have good neighbours after all.
Hope it's a good day for all.

    WELCOME PINKTEAPOT :) , It's good here

Morning all. Sorry about the mess up yesterday, and thanks esmf for the help. I've written down your instructions so that in the unlikely event of me being the first one on here I can get things going properly.
monnogran - don't sweat it about the sticky on the thread. If you don't know what to do how can you expect to do it? I did think Squeaky was a bit abrupt about it though.......
This is exactly why, in the highly unlikely event of me being online before the thread was started, I'd wait for someone else to start it. Tbh, if I was chastised like that, it'd probably scare me away from the Forum for good.

We shall be having all HM stuff for our Samhain celebration dins - nut loaf and roast roots, followed by blackberry'n'apple crumble, and we have some Methode Champagnoise (ie English "Champagne") that I bought at a vineyard shop when we visited Kent recently.

We don't get trick-or-treaters here, for which I'm thankful, as getting to the front door is so difficult for me nowadays (I have an entry phone so I don't have to actually go to the door to see/speak with the person on the doorstep), and I'm afraid Mr LW wouldn't have a lot of patience with children ringing the doorbell. I do love the idea of Ceirdwyn's snake though - I used to have a corn snake (Jake), a yellow rat snake (Fang) and a Taiwanese beauty snake (Nomad) years ago.:o

I need to keep an eye on the time; I have to be at the Fang Farrier's surgery at 14:00, so better get on with a few more tasks, before I have to get ready to go. Mr LW is on leave this week, so we shall hopefully be catching up with some stuff I can't manage unaided anymore.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Afternoon all,

Haven't read the thread yet so hugs to anyone in need!

    DD is 6 Today!!! :j:j
She woke at 7am (not bad) like a bottle of pop!! So she opened her pressie's off me (it's all about Moshi monsters this year) and had a little play whilst I got everything else done. Then she went off to school beaming with her badge on her jumper :rotfl:and her third cake of the wkend  for her friends.

I came home and then the "mess" hit me!! I looked at the huge pile of toys, paper and cards and had a near panic attack!! So I have been on a mission this morning, I haven't rehomed the toys yet, that would be cruel :o but have blitzed everywhere else. I had washing coming out of my ears after a wkend of doin nothing OS so had started to tacke that also. Good god there is soooo much recycling, good job we have weekly collection on everything!

So now I'm having a coffee and a break before I pick her up from school. No cooking tonight, she chose Pizza Hut for tea yum yum.

No trick or treating for us either, dd hates the fact she shares her bday :rotfl:and refuses to celebrate anything but her bday!! :rotfl:
And I finally get to cut and taste the most amazing cake that has ever been created, I will attempt a photo for you in a bit
    Have a great day xxx
