The “how many paydays ‘til Xmas” November NSD challenge

Hi all, havent been on here for a while but have been keeping count and up to
10
NSDs so far. Would have been more if it hadnt been for bloomin children in need. Spent £10 on my sons costume for a show he was in, then paid £3 to get in then they were selling refreshments and raffle tickets (spent the interval break dodging the raffle ticket sellers). Ah well its all for a good cause I guess!
Jinty I can relate to your story about work. I once didnt get an invite to a works do because I wasnt in when it was announced and no-one thought to tell me. I didnt even find out about it until a fortnight after everyone else had been told and then it was by accident. No-one could understand why I was a bit annoyed about it!!
So can I do 5 more days by the end of the month? It will be tight but I think so.0 -
Oh Jinty, I agree with the others, you have as many rights as FT staff...stand your ground!!
I was PT at the college where I was made redundant this year,...and I think I ended up with more redundancy money than my boss. They didn't take into account whether we were PT or FT, or our salary at all in fact! It was a case of how old we were and how long we had been with the company. Was secretly a bit pleased as she was forever putting me down as I was "only Part-time"....is this bad of me???
No, I would have felt the same!
Take care off yourself Keiss! ((((hugs))))

Well, you guys have done it again!
What brilliant messages - you really have cheered me up, your support is just overwhelming!:A:A:A
Today's saga:
Turns out the day off is so unofficial that if youre not in the offfice either Thurs or Friday this week you dont get it at all! The reason: it's too complicated to monitor AND keep secret:(
BUT I got my own back in a way. We are having a new system installed and the training is on either the 1st or the 15th of Dec ( both Thursdays, and my day off) I suggested that I pop in on the 1st to do the training and then go, and taking the 2hrs as TOIL later.
Supervisor - " it would be better if you could change your day and work the whole day". The 1ST of a month is always mental busy, so she wanted me in on the Thurs, yes, after all the hoo-ha about the day off! Couldnt believe it - so I thought about it for a nano second and said, no, cant do the whole day as I have other commitments on Thurs. "Cant you change them" Er, no! Duh!
Anyhoo, I need to calm down and not feel guilty about sticking to my guns - there has to be give and take - it feels really one-sided ATM!
Hermit - brill news re the tax rebate, I love when I hear things like that
IF - g-e-n-i-u-s pic today - you made me laugh out loud!:rotfl:
Oh, and I got another NSD # 11 for me! - Too p-d off to spend!!

£2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!0 -

By rights I did spend today, as I’ve finally sacked the letting agents & started marketing my house myself, but as the fee I paid to get an ad on that very well known house site is loads less that what I would have paid the agents, & as I get absolutely no pleasure from anything to do with that b****y house, & as it’s essential & waiting for a spend day would just delay things even further I’ve decided not to count it as a spend…..
so number 15 for me today, & target met!!
Can you increase my target to 18 please Spoon, thank you!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
I am declaring today to be NSD #9 at Fresian Towers
I did technically spend money at the bl00dy vets (again) today, but won't be paying off the credit card until the end of the month so that will be the spend day then. I don't know how they can charge so much for catfood that's not even going to last a week - still, hopefully Cat #2 will feel better for it
A thrifty dinner was had (last night's sausage casserole which was made with the night before's pasta sauce!) tonight and although the heating was on for half an hour earlier I'm just about to put a bigger jumper on and use a cat for insulation until bedtime - at least that way they're paying the vet bill back :rotfl::rotfl:

Well after a really poor week last week with my NSD's I'm going to bag today as one as I took in my sandwiches for lunch and am not going out tonight! I'm actually hoping to get NSD's Wed-Fri at least this week as we're coming to the end of the month and I'm at 9 out of target of 15 as yet (not including today if I definitely get it) and I am determined not to fail!!!
:j:j:jYay! Snagged number 10 for #158... Only 5 more to go and then I've done my first NSD month!!!:j:j:jNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

That got the reply 'neither do I lol. I've hardly ever been out without kids in almost 28 years!'
So he said he'd try and come up with some ideas, while I put my thinking cap on as well - so I asked what he normally does with his free time.
Reply was 10-pin, cinema or walks in the country (armed with a camera), so I informed him I've only ever done 10-pin twice (first a total disaster, 2nd a strike with first bowl then almost nothing else hit) and have only been to the cinema 12 or 13 times in my life that I can recall - and I think the latter shocked him !!!
So he asked what's on at the pics that I fancy seeing, and I had to admit that (other than Twi!ight - none of which I've seen, and it turns out he doesn't like) I didn't have a clue what was out (and know very few releases from the last [strike]10[/strike] 20 years ).
He replied there was a film he wanted to see so did I fancy that - but he didn't say what, so was told only if it wasn't a real Sci-Fi one as I fell asleep in both St@r Wars and 2001 : A Sp@ce Odyssey.
Reply said it was a comedy - and asked if I like R0wan Atkins0n.
I took a deep breath before replying 'sometimes. hated Bl@ckadder, and can take or leave Mr Be@n', at which I was assured it wasn't anything like those - so I sneaked off onto a cinema site to see if I could find what he was on about.
So we're going to see J0hnny Eng!ish Returns - even though I've not seen the first one
He's actually offered to lend me the first one on DVD before then, but I suspect he'd plan to bring it over to me (and I'm not sure I'm ready for him 'popping by' just yet), so I'm planning to go in 'blind' so to speak.Cheryl0
