  • Quickie update before I start the housework.

£7.50 spent on dance for the girls this morning, I took snacks and drinks with us so didn't spend anything on the vending machine for once and the girls only moaned slightly ;) Means I've got £2.50 left over, £1 of which can go towards the school dinners of £21, I've put £1 coin in the super secret pot and updated my sig, and have 50p left.

In other non money related news, I got my blood donor card through today and apparently I'm AB+ which is quite rare it seems apparently only 3% of the population have it). Knew I was an oddball. :rotfl:

  • Went to see Halifax with the other half this morning and we have a mortgage in principle in place! Was so scared of the credit check but it came back perfect apparently and we were rated A+ so unless they ask for audit we might not even have to give pay slips etc. now we just need to do the second viewing and make an offer. Scary times!
    HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
    Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77
Mortgage currently at [STRIKE]£82,299.71[/STRIKE] £76,017.62 would love to overpay

  • Thanks :) just goes to show sometimes we can all be a little over cautious. I just want to make sure that if rates rise we can still afford everything.

  • Wow, it's a lot harder to stick to a day to day to do list than I thought, especially when you want to do more than one thing per day. My attitude is better, I'm actually getting up and doing stuff now instead of procrastinating, but I think having the day to day to do lists is just more pressure than it's worth to be perfect so going to scratch that idea and think of something else! Tonight is ironing night. The excitement!

Didn't spend anything today, as have had a fairly lazy day and have done the 'family rounds' as we do every week. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my money in and so will be able to pay off the spare money from the weekly/monthly budgets off the credit card. Hurrah! :)

Roll on another exciting week in moneynerdville.
