HMPH I say... HMPH! I've had all my bills in now bar my sky, and because of the extra bills and higher than expected nursery/holiday club fees, I'll only have about £12 leftover this month. NUTS! Damn you car tax, driving licence and the dentist! Oh well.
I'm actually expecting a call from sky about cutting out the HD pack (which has taken at least a week or two for them to even respond to my email... *grumble*) so will at least be able to cut those bills down in the near future. I tell you what, it's a good job it's a 'free' council tax month or else I'd have to be putting money from my weekly budgets into the bills budgets and I would NOT be a happy bunny.
This month is the start of my saving towards the holiday spending money too, which is why I don't have as much spare as I normally would, but least it'll be running alongside paying off the card.
That and I'm still going to be able to pay off around £97 this week off the card, plus the £18 from Cex, plus £12 or so from my wages on tuesday. It all helps! Will update again once I can actually get on to my sky account to check the bill!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

In my bid to get things done tonight I've reorganised and decluttered my filing system in addition to the jobs I've noted above. When doing so I've realised that my girls' Child trust fund accounts are doing quite badly. I know part of that will be the recession, but my eldests is a massive amount bigger (because of more contributions after my mum died before my youngest was born) which isn't very fair. They're also gaining very little (the one has actually lost value!).
I've read that you can switch them, so I might have a look and see what Martin recommends and look at trying to get them into a better deal if I can. Also once the debt is paid off I'm going to need to bump up my youngests' CTF to get them up to the same level. My dad has also set up investments for them, but they're both the same amount and growing at around the same amount so want the same for their CTFs!
It's also given me an excuse to add a spreadsheet to my already fast expanding range of spreadsheets to track their investments
God I'm such a nerd.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Right, I have looked at my home insurance and there's no point me switching until renewal, as they're going to charge me a £40 cancellation fee which is only £20 less than the actual cost of the insurance  What a rip off!
Oh well. Least I've checked!
Off to mooch at the CTFs..Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Had a really, REALLY naff night/day and not expecting tomorrow to be much better as it's my mum's birthday (she died in 2005), so my to do list is being written off. Tonight we're going out for dinner instead just to unwind from the day and try and relax.
The only thing I plan to do is to pack the amazon books tonight and send them tomorrow.
Oh, in other news, my holiday club bill is less than I though, and I've finally managed to get on to my sky bill. Have worked out my monthly budgets and will have £26 spare, which I'll pay off the credit card. Next week though is my youngest's birthday so debt busting will be on hold for a week after Tuesday until the week after.
Will update properly when I'm not feeling so naff.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi IA
Not sure if you remember me but I used to follow your diary a few years ago!
I finished working went and finished my degree (a 2:2 in Chemistry) and I'm now working and back on MSE as I'm looking to buy a house  I'm here looking for hints and tips to get rid of my Student Overdraft as quickly as possibly (£1500 eek!) thankfully the CC is paid off in full, seeing that nice £0 has a good feel.
Just wanted to say hello, was nice to see a familiar name :AHSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77
Mortgage currently at [STRIKE]£82,299.71[/STRIKE] £76,017.62 would love to overpay0 -

Small update on tonight's spends. Pizza hut for me, DP and girls, £33.30 (used a kids eat free voucher we got online..). We took a detour to halfords and put £25 (remainder of birthday money from grandad..) deposit down on a bike my youngest picked for her birthday present, complete with little horn and a basket. £50 left to pay on it and picking it up on her birthday at the end of the month.
Have packed the amazon box with the help of DP. Just need to get some more tape and send it tomorrow.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
