I don't do christmas cards full stop. I think they're a waste of paper and trees as they just end up binned/recycled after xmas anyway. The only cards we've done have been from the girls to their school friends..Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Finally! I've managed to update my budgets and signature to take into account all the added expenditure. I'm especially not happy about my signature BUT the part for my car was delivered today while I was out so I've got to go pick it up from the depot. Because of that I've managed to book my car in r it to be fitted Friday morning... YAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I'm not going to get chance to try fitting it myself before friday so sod it. I just want it fixed now! :rotfl:
So anyway, here's my updated budgets.
Food £50.00
Petrol £30.00
Social £10.00
School dinners £0.00 (kids break up friday!)
car £50.00
Dance £15.00
Bills £51.50
total out £206.50
total
£259.17
surplus £52.67 This is going to have to be split between the 2 credit cards which are approaching their limit and even though it's highly unlikely any interest would put them over, I was a bit more 'breathing space' between the balance and the limit to prevent even the smallest risk. So I'll be paying £25 off each card to bring them down a bit.
I get paid Tues and will be updating my monthly budgets then to work out exactly what I have left and if possible I will be trying to pay as much of this off CC1 as I can. My dad has given me £100 to get me and the girls his presents to us from him, so will be using the majority of this for stuff for the girls (I'll get myself something for £10 or so so I can spend most of it on them but at least he knows I've got something for myself!)... He's also said he's going to lend me some money until payday to get the rest of my xmas presents rather than rush getting them after Tuesday which is going to be absolutely chaotic.
Why do these things always come up at christmas??? :wall:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Just popping up to say Yes Vauxhall dealers do suck, I have just left working one! I have an older corsa as I hate the new ones.
Wish I could afford a shiney new car but think will have mine for a good few years and its 6 years old already even though I have only had it a year. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

I'm just still amazed at the whole thing.
A) that the garage wanted to charge £400 for the priviledgethat THIS cost £100! A lump of dusty metal and plastic...
All in I'll end up saving £200 just by sourcing the part myself. Absolute crooks!!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Quick evening update.
Fetched my part (see link above!) and it definitely looks like the right one based on all the research, which is lucky  Roll on friday when I can finally relax! I had to drive a 28mile round trip to pick up the part from the depot as I won't be in tomorrow for them to redeliver (and couldn't guarantee anyone would hear the door at work to accept a delivery...) but I HAVE IT and that's all I'm concerned about.
On the way we had maccys for dinner with money given to me by my dad, and also got a fair bit of xmas shopping done (on a budget) on the way back. Not too much to do now, mostly what's left of the girls' stuff plus a few odd bitsLooking forward to hopefully getting it done and dusted over the weekend!
All in all today hasn't turned out too badly. It was stressful and hectic at work, so was feeling a bit crap after work. But feeling happier now and looking forward to the weekend. My eldest and DP are doing a charity run dressed as santas to raise money for the Newlife foundation which is a charity which helps disabled/sick/terminally ill children. It'll be her third charity run in her 6 years. I'm very proud of herTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
