Good evening, Immoral Angel, I am honoured to meet you here. When I first came on MSE and was scared, angry and have lost hope I found your diaries. Wow! Such inspiration.
I am sure you will meet all your goals; i'll be here rooting for you.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought really, I seem to remember when the DP got his mortgage they told him having a credit card would reduce the amount he could borrow I think. So if that's no incentive then I don't know what is, as it might not be a massive amount but it all helps
Planning on getting the holiday paid for by the end of november I think, then after christmas I'm going to get rid of the credit cards (starting with the lower balance first as it's higher APR). I'm going to keep my existing savings running to build up the holiday spending money etc while paying off the debt alongside.
I will draw up a proper plan once I've got the holiday paid for so I know that I can definitely start in Jan..
So current target £360 saved to pay off the holiday. Current running total, £1.28 :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Ooh I forgot to add, today I was successful in not spending anything
I've also updated by weekly budgets, as despite me doing a monthly financial statement above I actually manage my finances by my wages paying my bills and then my living money is paid for by tax credits and child benefit, which I then budget into little pots for food, petrol, social costs, savings, and school dinners (a new expense as of this week now the weather's getting colder.. booo).
For example..
Food £60.00
Petrol £25.00
Social £10.00
School dinners £16.80
Holiday £50.00
Dance £20.00
Bills left to go out £420.21
total in £606.23 (includes money already in bank to cover bills, CB and TC for this week)
Total out £602.01
surplus
£4.22
Make sense? GoodTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I should note that the above weekly budget is for this week, it'll be slightly different next week so will update as and when
I'm going to try and throw as much as I can at the holiday fund and get it paid off ASAP, that way christmas is a bit less frantic. lolTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Morning all.
Had my quidco payment paid today, so going to put that £10.38 in the holiday fund.
Current total £11.66/£360
Tonight is my dance class so today isn't going to be a no spend day, I also realised this morning that I had no bread or soup for lunch, so going to have to grab a sandwich for lunch plus water for dance later.
So expected spend today:
£2.20 for sandwich
£1 for water (6 for £1 from home bargains)
£4 for dance class
= £7.20
As I have to get out a tenner to pay for it I aim to save £2.80 to put towards the holiday fund.
Will update later!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Evening all!
I'm shattered today, so am skipping dance as I'd be worried about falling asleep at the wheel! Having a sofa slob night with the DP instead.
Today I've spent:
£1 on water
£3.20 on lunch
£20 on school dinners (I should get some change back due to it being inset day yesterday..)
£2 on a work collection for a colleague
I found some spare money in my purse, so including the quidco money I've moved £17.88 into the holiday savings today.
New current total: £19.36/£360
Hope everyone's had a good day, I'm planning on crashing out on the sofa... zzzzzzzzzzzzTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
