have stripped and made our bed, given the bathroom a once over and DH managed to empty, load and put the dishwasher on. He is now in bed with a bug so keeping away from him as i sure as heck dont want it :p

just going to potter round and do some little tidying up bits, i cant hoover or bend as changing the bedding killed me so im out of action for a couple of days now so DH will have lots of hoovering and bending to pick things up when he feels better.

I have done the ironing that is dry (plenty more to do later once it is dry) and hoovered downstairs.

Time for more coffee, and to think about what we are having for dinner. Am I the only one who is cold? Boys are playing outside in t-shirts? Liking the sound of the snoods btw. I frittered a whole £13 (a lot when you have no spare money at all) on a long black shrug type cardiagn from Asda which will give me another top layer to put on when (erm, always) I am freezing.

I dont think cable is that complicated if you can get a bit of peace to concentrate.

Time to get the fire lit I think. Just looking at it makes me feel warmer.

  • Hi Dusty
Knitting - thanks for the help. Magnets sound good, where can I get some and lining is that easy?

Lining first - depends what your bag looks like, but if it's essentially a rectangle folded in half then the easiest way to line it is to take a slightly smaller rectangle of fabric, fold it in half and sew up two of the sides so it looks like a smaller version of your bag.

Pop the lining 'bag' into the knitted one, and stitch all the way round the top of the two bags to hold them together. Personally I often add a couple of stitches in the left and right corners of the lining bag to hold both of them even more securely. Look at remnants for the lining fabric - doesn't need to be expensive.

Onto the magnets - you can get proper ones for bags from places like ebay (search for magnetic bag fasters), and I'd imagine most craft stores. I think these are far better than plain magnets as they have little slots for sewing through - lovely and easy!

Hope all that makes sense - shout if it doesn't.

So, do we get to see piccies?

Sounds lovely Nora - I want to make one too now. I have lots of curtain fabric samples that would work well.

Good God if doing the dishwasher gave him a bug  I think I best stay away from housework altogether :D :rotfl:

BEWARE LOTS OF EMOTIONS IN THIS POST :p

Have had a bit of a high and low time again :(
The boyfriendish (who actually said he was my boyfriend!! ) came down for half term and we had a great time, nearly like being a proper family!
But he's now seems to have forgotten me since going back :(

DD1 and her boyfriend of 2 years have split up :( There has been a few troubles since her so called friend started flirting with him and although he didn't encourage it he didn't disencourage it either  Anyway it all came to a head with this girl sh*t stirring and the boyfriend broke up with DD saying he couldn't put up with her mood swings!! She's really upset.
My car, that really belongs to my dad failed it's MOT big time and my parents decided to scrap it :(
But by some shocking amazment I found a car for sale and without much persuasion my dad brought it!!:D
Because he has brain damage he's unable to sign and my mum refused to come with us when we looked at the car so it's all in my name. :D I think this means I have to pay more towards it's keep now though
It's a bigger car than I had before and in the last two days I've pranged it twice :o:( I've never had an accident before so I'm a little upset and angry with myself :( and all the happy feelings from getting it have gone now.

    Personal Challenges

    Monday Trick or Treat

Erm not sure this was really done but DD’s have been told to do jobs and went to a party does that count?

    Tuesday Do it different Day

Laminate flooring has been hovered instead of swept and upstairs done first instead of downstairs

    Wednesday Water Squeezes

    DONE

    Thursday Shaker Day
What do you think about whilst doing your flying? All the other things you need to do? Today I want you to act like a Shaker for just 15 minutes. Whilst doing some of your flying I want you to settle your mind solely to the task in hand. Take pride in what you do and satisfaction from seeing the limescale come of the taps and the shine appear.

Friday Variety is the spice of Life

COLLECTED TOGETHER ALL NEW RECIPES, TYPED UP AND SAVED. Will try after payday.

    Enjoy the weekend
Bonfire weekend so try to have some fun with family or friends or just catch up on some reading, knitting etc

    Preparing for Winter Challenges

Monday the clock have gone back summer is officially over

    DONE

    Tuesday see the light
In case of power cuts make sure you have candles and matches, torches and batteries stored in an easy to get to place – no good rummaging in the back of a cupboard in the dark! Light a candle and hold it around the doors and windows to see where your insulation is lacking (ie where the flame gets blown) – please take care! If you have lots of candles then why not light one tonight in memory of all those no longer with us for All Souls Day.

    Wednesday Potions and Pills

    MEDS ON SHOPPING LIST

    Thursday Car Prep
New car so all is good. Need to get a blanket out of the airing cupboard and buy a torch for the car. Don’t do much distance travelling in the winter but car will be stocked up before any trips, don’t want to carry unnecessary items around, remember extra weight burns more fuel.

    Friday Bedtime

    DONE

    Weekend Outside
Do you have salt for the ice? Sweep up some leaves (of get someone else too) to prevent slippery paths.

WOULDN’T KNOW WHERE TO GET ICE FROM BUT HAVE CAT LITTER
NEED TO RAKE UP HEDGE CUTTINGS
