Morning
I am hopeless at knitting, being left handed, I do everything backwards, even my grandmother who was excellent knitter gave up on me!!
I do that! I'm right handed, but somehow knit backwards (pull the yarn round the wrong way on the purl stitch)....simply can't do it the 'proper' way without considerable swearing, and much effort.
Makes for some nice variations though - so don't give up just because your knitting doesn't conform!

Morning lovelies!
Need to have a good tidy today, I've hung littleys uniform on the airer to dry and will iron it later. Just pretty much whinging it other than that. Going to see the town's fireworks display at the beach tonight and no idea what we're having for tea.
Think I'll go and load the DW and get that mess out the way.0 -
Morning ladies
Did get some of the kitchen done yesterday but then DH trashe dit when he cooked himself some tea to take to work. Will finish the washing early today as I started it yesterday instead of going into town shopping for a change.
This morning I have to do some food shopping (hoping theres still some money left in the bank account after the amount of petrol I have put in my car with all my travelling this month ) and I need to get a couple of pairs of cheap glasses as I broke the ones I keep by the bed and I've lost another pair.
Am bathed already so just need to put a face on, hair dry and get dressed then can crack on.
Oh and I need to apologise to all in advance as I cannot keep up with thanking every post as I tend to skim read and I get in a muddle if I have to read and post. So I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone single one of you who contributes to this thread as without you all it wouldnt be here, and an even bigger thank you to Pigpen, and the others who have stepped in, for the running of this thread :A.

Good Morning All
Had a bizarre and not a restful sleep as kept having vivid dreams all night - so not like me!
DD has text and she has decided not to come home ..... Not so happy about this as I had booked and paid for council to collect large items so they have to be put outside in front garden today for collection in the next week. Guess who is going to have to struggle and do this...hmm that would be me! It is 2 large side pieces from a kitchen cupboard - these are outside already so not too bad. Large home made unit - although its very tall it is narrow and already in the hall so again I can manage this. But 3rd item is the double mattress currently completely buried at the back of DD bedroom - this bedroom had everything dumped in it when I moved as DD was supposed to be coming home to clear it!!! So I will have to clear the bedroom - might as well sort as I clear then when I finally reach the bed I have to get the mattress down the stairs and out into the garden....not happy!
Ok.... I will go over there after lunch but it means that I cannot go and get my curtains and rail so that will have to wait for day off on Wednesday.
Right off to find the huge list and make a start. Anyone for a HHC starting ....now

Monday Trick or Treat
Today I want you to get somebody else to help with the flying, the more the merrier. Some of you are doing far too much for your household on your own (not all I know there are lots of partners and children who do help) so today I want you to either trick them into helping you and/or treat them for doing so. Any treat will do, bake a cake, rub their feet, just say thank you. If there is nobody to help then I want you to spend 15 minutes doing a job you really don’t want to and then give yourself a nice treat.

Thursday Car Prep
Get your car ready for winter so that if you should get caught in the snow or break down you are prepared. Here is a great guide for what you could do.
No car? Give your freezer a good sort; do you have space for emergency bread and milk supplies. Are you low on anything? Could the freezer do with defrosting?
Friday Bedtime
Time to change the duvet for a higher tog; test the electric blanket; check the hot water bottles for leaks and get the flannelette sheets out. If possible wash light weight duvets before storing for winter – stored in pillow cases they can be left on the bed as extra cushions if you lack space or placed flat underneath the mattress for added warmth.
Weekend Outside
Outside winter preparation. Turn off outside tapes. Empty water butts. Put away garden toys (clean) empty out pots which have finished and store. Cover garden furniture. Make sure the BBQ has not been left filthy for next year. Check supplies of logs and coal for winter. Do you have salt for the ice? Sweep up some leaves (of get someone else too) to prevent slippery paths.
Cat now in and fed twice - sure she will want more in a bit!! I have cleaned the bathroom but need to go and upload the wm and then will unpack a box or bag before starting on the paperwork that I keep putting off!!
