More'n'likely.
I offered to knit a cable one for DD.
For SOME reason she declined my kind offer.
Since they are, in effect (for they were closely examined by yours truly) a rectangle of cable sewn up to make a 'tube' it wouldn't be too hard to do. No increases/decreases. Piece of *cof* really
In fact as long as you know your repeats you wouldn't even need a pattern. Just use the pattern thing from any cable knit and keep going, really. I reckon 30 rows would do it, 40 tops (or thereabouts). I'd just have gone for a chunky wool and needles that were thicker than normal double knitting (4mm) depending what I found in my box.
I haven't knitted for ages. I like knitting. I just don't have the time. *sigh*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good evening
I have been awol for a couple of days
Pigpen - can i come & put my duvet in your washer? I will look after Dot for a couple of hours, so you can sleep or spend some time with SqueakI hope you get some decent sleep tonight
I went to my friends last night, to give her a big hug. It's a 45 min drive, through country lanes, and i don't like night driving. But a personal hug is worth at least 100 FB messagesDS kept me company, and we didn't stay late.
Today, I slept in a bit, then stripped the bed. That is all dry & bed remade (I am in it now). 1 more load washed & dried, Dw on, hoovered through downstairs, food shopping done (I hate food shopping
), dog walked by the kids otherwise i would have run out of daylight. I also went to art this morning.
I was going to update my lists & try & catch up tomorrow, but I need to catch up on uni work, and that is higher priority at the mo. DH is coming home tomorrow morning, so we are having a roast
Hugs & spoons to those that need them. Night night all0 -
I'm still sat here grinning that I'm so pleased so many of my lovely friends have come home to flylady, I hope you don't mind that I regard you as friends
sometimes I feel like binning facebook as a time sucker but what an amazing effect it's had!
Flying today was quite productive even if a good friend and her partner who we went to lunch with decided to have a late evening fall out. Before she came back here for the evening I managed a DW, TD and WM load. I'd done one of each this morning too. I got the bathroom started too, sink toilet and bath all been cleaned, window sill too.
Right suppose I should get some sleep. Night night all xxxOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning All
I'm shattered this morning but awake so I've got up. I need to sort the WM and TD out as the load of washing I put in them yesterday morning before I went are still sitting there - obviously DH didn't have time to do that! I need to get a birthday present today and deliver that and I have some work stuff to do besides loads of flying and ironing. Me and DS ended up missing the fireworks as just before they started another child was swinging round one of those glowstick things which had burst and some of the stuff went in DS's eye so I had to go and get it flushed out - we came back out as they were finishing!
Right I'm going to sort the WM and TD out then I might have a sort out of these piles of paper that seem to have accumulated on my desk.
Have a good day all

Snoods and headbands and hats etc are everywhere at the moment. I'm still a knitting beginner. How difficult is cable to knit? I've only tried rib and moss stitch so far. I have made a knitted bag but it hangs open, any ideas for holding it closed. I tried large poppers but they we too stiff to open.
DH is due home today and I have loads still to do from my lists so may have to create a priority one I think. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Is the bag lined? If not, just lining it will help.
If poppers were too stiff, what about little magnets? No fiddling, and often a little easier on the fingers.
Or what about popping a button on the outside of one side, and creating a simple loop of yarn (crochet, or simply plaited) sewn into the inside of the opposite side.
If none of that helps, then go for office chic, and add a ruddy great bulldog clip!
