Sound advice from the saponificaceous one!

Is it on prescription? Or private prescription? Could you not get a GP to write a letter/prescription for it?

    ;)

I need to walk away from the PC. Some of my replies to posts/threads have become somewhat irreverent.

  • Evening All

I fell asleep this afternoon but feel more rested now, I am going to do some filing/shredding while I watch Strictly.... At least I will be tick some thing off the huge list!!!

Sorry to hear LW is feeling unwell - hope you feel better soon.

I actually did the first bit towards Christmas today - because of everything that has happened over the last few months I have not felt like even thinking about it. But today I booked a delivery slot for the Christmas food shop and ordered the turkey crown. I have not yet done the full shopping list but I can add to it later but the slot is reserved for 23rd December.

I dont have many presents to buy and Mum will need new clothes as she has dropped 3 dress sizes since being in hospital - so that one will be easy and DD has asked for Amazon vouchers as she needs so many books for her Uni course. I am going to make my dear friend who was so supportive a bracelet and a bag charm - DD will also get a bracelet. I might even have a go and make a bracelet for for DS but not made mens jewellery before.

Right off to find some filing to do....

    How was the duck?
    thanks :p

The duck was delicious. In the end we covered in in some bacon that was lurking in the fridge and put a layer of chopped bacon and onions in the bottom of the SC, an orange up the duck's bum and added a splash of water. Cooked it on high for about 3 hours, then left it on low for a couple more. actually, I think it counts as Friday's challenge, even though we had it on Wednesday...

    ;).
I'm leaving tomorrow, and I think a letter from my brother would be looked on with suspicion :o it was recommended by a nutritionist and my consultant agreed it was a good idea.

Suit is packed, but the rest needs sorting. I appear to have hidden several shoe bags from myself. supper is leftovers, and I'm roasting some tomatoes as my veg, but don't much feel like eating the two lettuces that are left in the fridge :( the fennel and celery will last (well, they'll be useable in cooking) but I'm not so sure about the lettuce...

Need to have a bit of a rest, prod the fire and then get back to the packing...

Mudders~ double sided tape should do the trick try ebay for it.

Greenbee~ check with the airline and BAA website, as 'food stuffs' were banned in carry on stuff, but it may have changed.

    Dinner eaten
    Cat hiding from fireworks
    Not a lot else done

Thanks Kaz... Nothing on foodstuffs, so I mighty give it a go. And take the pills in hold luggage just in case...

CBA to go and do anymore packing.

Anyone know whether Barcelona will be warm enough for bare legs and sandals in the evenings, or is it tights and proper shoes weather?

And then I crocheted a "neck cosy"! I've decided one of the reasons I feel cold is because my neck is cold. Don't have any polo neck jumpers and can't justify buying new ones at the moment so used a ball of wall that was knocking about and rustled up a cowl - or is a snood?. It's actually quite effective!
:idea:What an excellent idea! I have some LO white'n'silver wool kicking about from a cardigan that I made (the wool was actually given to me, so very MSE):money:
I can't put jumpers on and off without assistance, but something like that I'd be able to manage, so it'd be good for wearing when Mr LW's at work.:o
Sorry to hear LW is feeling unwell - hope you feel better soon.
Thank you.:A I'm sure I'll be OK; it's partly the fallout from having my meds d!cked around with by the rheumy:mad: and partly fallout from us going to the National Space Centre at Leicester for the day yesterday and basically using up today's spoons as well as yesterday's.:o

Still, Mr LW's enjoyed his week off, and will go back to the office refreshed on Monday. He's on early shift, wfh on Tuesday though - and I have to visit the Fang Farrier again, so another wee drive up to Olney for me on Tuesday.;)

:( don't want rain. I'm hopeless with temperatures so I'm never sure what's warm ... Must go and do some research to avoid doing packing...

And I MUST remember to take my laptop and chargers...
