  • Minion is attacking the giant box of gibble she moved into the house with a year ago.

    [thud]

I have painstakingly removed the human summer coat with a razor blade and now await the almost instant regrowth of my winter pelt. Minion's legs, however, are not allergic to depilatory creams and we are therefore heading out in about half and hour to obtain some so that we can go swimming tomorrow.

There is a load in the WM waiting to go on once she is certain all her clothes are either in there, in the linen bin or are for disposal.

I have had a whole cup of coffee for the first time in days and am considering allowing the heating on tonight. But that's not guaranteed!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Hey ladies!

Been decluttering my pantry/cupboard. Pantry floor looking good - kitchen looks like a bombsite!

I have cleaned the Valli boudoir - I DESERVE a peacful (if lonely;)) haven and flung a body cream I have had hanging around and know I won't use. Bit of tidying/sorting and roundtuit work done (as in 'I'll shift that when I get a round tuit') and have listed more inks (printer inks) from work on fleabay (profits to work, I've now listed all the HP and have moved on to Epson) decluttering from work, money FOR work (less costs) - gets out SHINY HALO - The polish you use when you've been good ;)
The towels have all been through the TD; I have done 1 lot of whites and have a load in.

Valli - one of the lovely crafty shops in the Shambles sells roundtuits! I am constantly explaining to people exactly what it is!

Well, i'm slowly catching up with bits round the house, worked and had my hair cut.

Now, I have a question for you clever fly people. I have a dinner dance coming up. I've found the perfect dress which fits really apart from the straps. It's sleevless and the straps are about 2 inches wide but they keep slipping down. Is there anything easy I can use to stop them slipping. Would wig tape do the job? I'm not very good with a needle so don't think I could alter it. I await your words of wisdom.

Now for a half hour challenge.

Mudders - I have tiny tapes with poppers on sewn onto straps so I can tie them to my bra straps :)

Does anyone know whether I'm likely to have problems getting food supplement powder through customs? I have a new, sealed tub I could take with me, but don't want it put it in hold luggage... If it will be problematic I will have to decide which of the inferior types of tablets I will take instead :(

Must wash the floor upstairs, then I can out the rugs back down on the landing. Curtains can't go up and poles need sanding and painting so they match the walls as they are very tatty. I have done LOTS of flying this week of various kinds so will inspect the lists later to see whether any of it was predicted by Dusty!

Ooooh that's a good idea and even I, with my limited sewing ability, could do that. I've got poppers. Where would I get 'tape' from? Is that something that John Lewis would say in the haberdashery section? I'm liking that idea - thank you :).

Flying - I've washed out the kitchen compost bin and put some wet clothes in the dryer for ten minutes.
